Blimey January has been a long month. At last my first update of February.

Total for year so far 1622.26 (8.1%)

Looking forward to paying off more this month as long as no more appliances decide to blow up.

Taxi meant new to us but 2nd hand used car.
Couldent bear to buy new would cry as lost a grand as drove of forcourt.

Never want bmw again asparts so expensive and keeps going wrong.
Had toyota before which wasent too bad.
Hubby loves german cars volkswagon, audi, bmw keep trying to persuade him about skoda but hes being a snob.
Dad they they all expensive, been japenese brands more reliable.
We had anisaan primera as courtesy car once wasfab.
We needa hatchback or estate to accomodate ourgrowing family and restricted when getting big things like furniture as wont fit.

Hubby whinging how pricey reckon tanks now costing him extra £10 and driving slower to make it last longer.
Going to get 2nd hand bikes in summer and trailer will make him cycle locally.

think money wise will struggle this week any payments this week will see how ebay goes.

Cant wait to make first feb payment and hit 2grand mark!

Made some big payments to Egg Loan and ISA over that few days so my debt has finally dipped below the £5000 mark:j. So excited!!!!

That is me now a quarter of the way to target due to some profitable months at work and living a more frugal life :A

Hope everyone else is feeling positive, January was a hard month but it's all over for another year!!

  • recieved my pay from the extra shifts I worked over december so it makes it all worthwhile, have made additional payments on my mortage and the debt with the largest interest. so this month's repayment =£670 . if i get to make similar payments each month will pay off the majority of my debts in addition to matching a savings plan as. however I got a bit happy as I still had some money left over and have been a bit spend happy. am going to have to leave the card at home. if you get the chance can you respond to my poll on my debt free diary am unsure whether I should start a new thread or if I should continue with the old. your views would be gratefully recieved. good luck

  • Well done everyone.

£728.32 for me for the month of January. Need to pick my game up if I want to pay 10k off by Dec though.

On a more positive note - for Feb I've got some overtime, a bonus :Tand hopefully will receive my refund for premium bonds which I've had for years.
