  • Chops, I feel the same level of excitement. When I came home today there was 2 credit card bills waiting, I was so pleased because it meant I could pay some of the debt off.
Thankfully, gone are the days when I felt the total opposite reaction.
On that note £300 to MBNA, will pay Santander tomorrow.

Just out of interest, Chops, what do you use the spreadsheets for? I hear lots of people talking about them and I'm not sure if I would find them useful or not. Thanks!

    Can I join in please?
Going for the £20k too - I really need to do it. I've got approx £9 on evil egg card so am attaching that first in the hope of using the 0% in August.
Purse is closed now for Christmas .... except I'd really love something new to wear .. cheap and cheerful though!
I've made a start with £250.36 and will keep going!

    Hi Pickle.:j

I have a basic spreadsheet with my out goings and income on.

So each month I put in our actual wages, and alter any variable bills (i.e. petrol card, minimum credit card payments)

So it automatically adds up how much money is actually ours to live off and overpay bills. (then divide this money into food, kids activity, entertainment, overpayments)

I also have a column next to each bill/direct debit that I tick when the bill is paid so I can keep a track on my account.

I find it motivating and have my highest interest credit card highlighted in a garish red...so I know where I am focusing my efforts first.
