I just did a crafty manoeuvre. I got a letter from halifax yesterday (old credit card) saying I'd missed a minimum payment. WHAT? NIghtmare. I looked and there was something for £23, realised it was the annoying card protection thing that I don't really want anyway, that had renewed itself. Had completely forgotten - they must have sent me a reminder but as I never use the card I prob didn't read it. Anyway. I rang them, they removed the charge as they could see it was an unusual case, I paid the balance. THen I thought - damn, I need a new credit card for a BT and this is going to affect my credit sccore. So quickly checked experian, and ther was no update yet. So I struck while the iron was hot and applied for a FD Gold card (from Martin's best buys) and as I'm their customer already I didn't even need to fill in a form! It's a month before I need it but at least I've got it now before Experian has to put the missed payment on my account (am going to contact them and ask them to put a clarification on it). So now I've sorted the Post Office BT which was supposed to happen early August. Hurrah!
  • Hi all paid my abit more off the balance so now im updated again i bet i can reach 50% this month wooooo hooooo
