Buying water!

Hi,
We have been buying drinking water from Tescos for quite some time now (last 2-3 years) . when we were living separately (OH and I) we will buy like 12 litres which will last more than a week for us.
Now we are living with parents-in-laws and we are buying this every week (now we buy 24 litres each time). the facts our nephew staying with us every week end, relatives dropping in very often doesn't help either
Yesterday when we went to Tescos, they ran out of their brand which we usually stick with. So we had to buy 9 litres of a leading brand at £2.98
Living with PILs are nice as but since we do groceries shopping and pay bills as well, ideally we want to control this buying drinking water thingy.
any ideas / suggestions please?
many thanks in advance,

Have you ever tried filtered water? We have a Brita filter system thing and it's far cheaper, per litre, than buying bottled water. We have the filter because our water seems to be quite hard.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 declared0

i pay 24p a day for all the water i can drink, it tastes dead nice up north, i dont understnad the idea of only drinking bottled water but putting tap water in your kettle and cooking and brushing your teeth with it etc. if you live in one of them areas where the water taste rank why not use a brita, my mum has one and its well cheaper than bottled water and if someone robs some you just fill it back up again.:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

Are you joking?? You live practically round the corner from me and mine is discusting. Its not as bad as my last house but its still undrinkable. Its that bad you can smell it. I buy bottled water from asda and I get a 5ltr bottle for £1 (this isnt the asdas own though so I presume that theirs is cheaper) and the brita filta was just a waste of moneyWork like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
if you really cant drink it straight from tap theres residentual; filters available to which will probably work out cheaper .. although im not sure why so many cant drink tap water ....If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

Dont your inlaws do any grocery shopping too? Surely they should be buying a share of the water if there using it every week.
