I got the letter as well about the EasyJet card. I must be the only person to be pleased I think!! I still have no idea how I got the card (I have one other card, a subprime Capital One) think I will BT to the new Platinum card as a Platinum account is better than my current SP one. I never fly EasyJet - I just got the card to use as a credit card so not bothered about the points.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I got the letter a couple of days ago regarding the card being withdrawn, but i am confused about the whole cashback thing. Online with the card i have a figure stating cashback earned.
In the letter it says you can redeem this cashback at shell stations, is this as say them sending a fuel voucher for the said figure or am i being totally stupid please help, notice it was mentioned a couple of posts ago but still dont understand properly!!!0 -
As a Cashback replacement card I would suggest the Capital One card, so far they have not taken that away (but they do like to increase the rates)0

I WAS a fan of the card & using the points scheme, too, resulted in better value & better quality fuel, than Asa, who the Luton staions price match.
There is a last line on letter pointing us towards eggmoney 1%, so I'll look again, there, but think they start you on a silly low gredit limit!!
& had the Citi card declined in a Shell site last Sunday - poor guy on the till, only staff in the place, trying to serve loads customers, fone his boss & find the ' I agree to pay within 10 days' form. Considering the card is cleared by direct debit in full & has a £££$$$ limit, at least I knew I was OK!
When he was unable to provide me with a copy, once I'd signed it (& deleted so many of the admitting you were in the wrong paragraphs) I tore it up & left it to his boss to call me!
But getting a call Sunday evening, from him saying it'd be reported to the police as a 'drive off', I suggested he contacted the card handling company, 'cos I'd already rang Citi that afternoon & the transaction HAD gone through!!
Just hope I've not bought 5 lots of diesel, when the statement arrives!!

I've just sent my letter off to Citi to cancel this card now, having cleared the balance, 6% (briefly) then 3% cashback on petrol for a while wasn't bad, but today I've just had my Co-op dividend statement confirming £47 cash has been paid into my bank account today so I guess I''ll stick to just the Co-op members' credit card.0

Consider this. Suppose you spend £100 on Shell fuel (and pay with your Citi Shell card) in Nov, you will have earned £1 as cashback (1%). This cashback becomes available in Dec and when you spend on Shell fuel in Dec it is automatically adjusted against the spend. For eg. if buy £50 of Shell fuel in Dec, your Jan statement will show: Shell fuel spend: £50, Cashback adjusted: -£1, Total to pay £49. And cashback earned for Dec will be 50p. Now this 50p has to be used up in Jan or Feb (i.e. redeemed) by purchasing Shell fuel - if you do not then you will lose it.0 -

Paper work signed and returned, can they still refuse me the card or is it a done deal now?
My new shell card arrived, they wont tell me what the "theft risk" is they identified which resulted in the card and web access being blocked
I was going to cancel the Shell card as soon the sainsburys one arrives but I think i will let them go through the expense of issuing me with a vanilla card and then cancelling it for messing me about.0
