so after slashing my much beloved cash back I get a letter today saying there ending the card in Jan 10 :mad::mad: and putting me on some faceless deal less rubbish.

Think I will do that too.
They got rid of the sexy looking Audi card with 0% on foreign currency handling, offered a Cashback card as a replacement now offered me some bog standard card.

Citi seem to be looking to close their business. Sticking with the Egg brand for that I guess.

Lol. Just yesterday I bought 10 quids worth of Shell petrol to recover the last of the cash-back before throwing the card - I suppose this will save me the bother of canceling it.

If you do not cancel, you will be automatically sent the Citi Platinum card - so if you do not need it then it is best to cancel the Shell card now or the Platinum card when it arrives.

Combination of the credit card and driver's club card started off initially with 3.5% cashback, dropped to 1.5% and from 1st Jan just 0.5% on the driver's club card alone.Maybe Shell will now be more inclined to make the Driver's club card more attractive.

I will also be dumping the card in the new year, no point in having it if I get nothing for it!

Well done Citi Card & Shell way to go about smashing customer loyalty. Don't think I have filled up anywhere else since geting the card!
