1st class parcel not arrived after 7 days?

There's no such thing as a first class parcel, so there's no way you could have sent it that way.

It was probably sent as a first class packet, but there's one big snag - it's too big (80cm). It shouldn't have been accepted - the staff in the PO were in error if they did. It should have been a standard parcel (on which there is no recorded service) or one of various types of guaranteed parcel.

So the possibility is that it's being returned to you as underpaid - that won't happen fast, or at all if your address wasn't inside the packet.

Yes.

Actually on second thoughts there probably was enough paid on it for it to be treated a standard parcel - so likely to be carded if the recipient was out. And so far it's not that much over standard parcel delivery times.
