You've read them three times?! Wow, I'm finding them really hard to be getting on with and a couple of people on the No More Buying Books thread have said the same. I guess it's just what grabs you.
Went to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo last night - OH's choice and not the sort of genre I'd normally be into - but I really enjoyed it and now I want to read all the books...Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »- [STRIKE]Italy budget[/STRIKE]

Hmm, feels like I've done more than this somehow! Been reading up a lot on Florence trying to determine which things are worth doing and which are basically just churches, and seem to have come up with an itinerary and budget!
Printed off the info on 7 cars in the area, whether any of them will still be there when we get there tomorrow is another matter so keep your fingers crossed for me.
Managed to book my cheapie train tix, £32 return to London in July, so that's a nice girlie weekend sorted - we're the queens of the BOGOFs so it'll not be an overly-expensive trip
On a sewing theme, I've bought some of this fabric to make a skirt I've seen in a picture and would like to try and attempt myself. Sewing teacher lady seemed to think it would be easy but we'll see! This was paid for using the refund I got from that massive skirt I bought a few weeks ago.
Going to have a look at my May budget now - just got my payslip and what looks like quite an impressive payrise when you look at the annual salary box actually turns out to be just £20 a month after it's been split up and taxed. Never mind though - an extra £20 spending money in Italy for me!
£40 to last til Monday.....
Then also going to try and finish a dooyoo I've been writing for weeks!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Sounds like you've been busy busy busy!
Good luck with looking at cars tomorrow - hope you manage to find one you like/good price
My good news is that the savings is now over £1000:D

Well done Flower, bet you feel brilliant to get it over that hurdle!
The next £1000 will come easy
Well, went to see a couple of cars on Saturday and bought this one:
I'm so pleasedIt's totally gorgeous - not a scratch or mark on it, I can't quite believe it's 7 years old. It's a dark metallic grey not silver, so it's quite distinguished looking I think. Power steering is taking a bit of getting used to though - the only times the steering was so light on Bluey was in the ice, so I keep feeling like I'm out of control and sliding but I'll soon get used to it.
Saturday night housesitting was lovely, we made pizzas (own dough ) and pasta and made pigs of ourselves and it was fab, really can't wait til we have our own place
Well, it's payday and I've got bits of money all over the place, cash in my bag left over from what I didn't spend on a car (to go to the MOF), the £30 extra for car insurance came out of the MOF, £90ish in the MOF which is actually for the Pisa hotel... must get maths head on a work out what goes where...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
And breathe. All working out done, it was more confusing than it should have been
Need to do a bit of juggling at lunchtime but by then end of the day the MOF will be standing at £507. I was hoping to get a cheaper car to be honest and be able to put more into the MOF but I'm not too bothered, my car's fab
I'm getting very excited now for FlorenceBought this dress yesterday to take, which I've been coveting for a while and which was now reduced by £10

Aww!! It's so cute and shiny! It needs a name though!
Your money does sound majorly all over the place though, I would not be able to keep on top of that! But then I get confused when I just have money coming out of mine for stuff I've bought
Sounds like you had a lovely weekendHM Pizzas are the best though, yumm!

Ok, I really should stop reading backwards, I thought you were talking about the dress!
Lovely car Tete, looks immaculate and nice dress, which I could never wear as a) I am too old and b) I have wrinkly knees!
I seen a lovely tea dress in Asda for £10, thinking it might be nice with leggings underneath, got to maintain my modesty0 -
And so my to-do list:
- Bank - money out and in
- Take library books back
- Buy bits for planned cushion
- Sort through old and new car docs
- Look into scrapping Bluey
- Book Uffizi/Academia/Leaning Tower tickets
- Order new tax disc holder
- Look at car CD players
- Download internet security trial
- Washing
- Ironing
- Sewing
God that's quite long but a lot of it is during work timeI suppose I should add a Dooyoo and a couple of Ciaos to this too....
EDIT - Morning! Thanks girls, I know it needs a name but I haven't even decided if it's a boy or girl yet. Its Sunday name is The Grey Squirrel (Bluey's is the Blue Bullet), but I can't call iy Grey-y because it's hard to say. I was thinking of Gertie Grey but I'm not convinced it's a girl... any ideas?!
I think the dress makes me look a bit 'hippy' but I just thought sod it because I love itAny links to the Asda dress, we do love a bit of online window shopping!

Lovely car Tete, looks really smart.
Instead of taking Bluey to the knackers yard, you might find you get a lot more for it on ebay as spares or repairs.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0 -
Hmm, hadn't really thought of that, will have a look and see if there are any similar going and how much they're going for. There are some scrap places in the local paper who will pay £100 and it might be worth it for the lack of hassle...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

But think of Bluey getting ripped apart and squished up, just to save you the hassle
After all those years of running you around places...
Hmm, I'd say it was a boy! But tbh I class most cars as 'boys' how about.. Ryan! *is rubbish at names*0
