NSD number 8 today, amazing!
It is raining heavily now...unfortunately if it freezes later on tonight, the roads will be treacherous tomorrow...so may not go out...another NSD in the offing possibly!
Lil' sis and her daughter visited today (came by train)...lovely to see them again, both totally mad and wonderful with it.
Right back off to the knitting...only one more gilet to finish and wrap up for Christmas!

Hello everyone,
Went out today and got final Xmas pressies, so all finished now, unfortunately that resulted in an SSD:(.
Well done to everyone who managed to avoid the crowds, last-minute panic, snow, sleet, hail and rain today and be sensible by staying inside and not spending anything.:D
"There's always tomorrow" for anyone (including me) who "had" to spend today, let's hang on in there together...

Still no NSD for me! Am such a baaaaaad girl. Went to the hairdressers and then tonight it was works Xmas party. A posh do but ticket paid for by my generous boss. Went in a designer dress lent to me by my fab sis, wore heels I've had for nearly 10 years and bought a £3 stretchy sparkley headband from tesco that I converted to a chocker - what a gal! (what a cheapskate! .....but who would know) OH kindly drove, free wine with meal so the only money I spent was £3 on a coke! And to be honest my boss would pay for that if I was greedy enough to claim it. Bargain night out
Hope you are all having a great weekend And a little more success with your NSDS than I am. Food shop tomorrow unfortunately but another £4 off if you spend £40 voucher becomes valid so couldn't have done it today. Don't usually spend that much in a week but have used last weeks voucher and this one to buy things for Xmas and do some stocking up0 -

Weekly shop cancelled! Have decided the weather is far to bad to go out in today when I have food enough for today. So.....an NSD!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurrah!!!!
Only have to feed myself Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening meals so instead of going replenishing food and household stocks (to use the Tesco voucher) may just completely cancel the shop this week and see if I can live on the dregs in the cupboards. I hopefully have enough milk (for cereal) ......as I have no bread (for toast). Will need to get a prescription before Xmas so even if I don't do food shopping the rest of the week won't all be NSD's.........hmmm (thinking outloud)
Hope everyone else is safe and warm. It's like a blizzard here - but at least it's nice to watch from the safety of my sofa. Just a bit concerned about the journey to work tomorrow.....0 -
Only need one more day to meet target which will be tomorrow as at work all day teas already sorted ,just as well as must go to town Tuesday and get last of christmas presents then just the wrapping to get done.:snow_laugSave £4500 in 20140

I agree with you BigMummaF, I'm a big scaredycat when it comes to ice and snow (as you never know if there is ice lurking beneath the snow). If I do have to go out in it then I walk very slowly with a pained look on my face, arms stretched ready to grab anything including thin air, knees slightly bent, legs wide.....like someone who has just filled their pants :rotfl:0
