Difficult Decison for December; the NSD thread.

You're not alone hun, I haven't got one yet! My anticipated no spend day for today has gone out the window as my Dad and Step Mum are coming over for tea tonight so I had to buy a few bits this morning.
Tomorrow I'm food shopping, Wed I'm pressie shopping, Thurs I'm helping out at the school Christmas Fayre so I'm 99% sure I'll have to buy something for the little ones there! Friday our friends are coming round and we're having a takeaway together - sob, I'm beginning to despair ......
Don't despair, honey. It's difficult to plan for the unexpected, and it is always a challenge - but even more so during December. Remember that after Friday when your friends come around there are still 13 days left until the end of the month. More than that, though, even one NSD is a little victory, and achievement. No doubt too that the simple fact that you are aware of your spending is making you think about what and when you are spending. For me, the lessons I learn about when I spend and on what are as important as the satisfaction to be gained from achieving a NSD. I find that if I can't make a NSD for whatever reason (and things DO come up that you can't account for) aiming for a LSD (low spend day) really is the next best thing.
Do any of the takeaway outlets near you do 'two for one' offers or are there other offers that don't involve spending more than you would normally? Perhaps you could organise a takeaway for you and your friends that is very MSE? :money:
All best wishes,

After a couple of fairly SSDs (big grocery shop, work's night out, prezzie shopping), I've hit NSD number 4 today. :j
Hugs to everyone who is feeling poorly, or their NSD plans are not going as well as planned. Congrats to everyone doing well with their NSDs. Well done!
Best wishes to all!0 -

It is a bit discouraging but I'm not going to give in.
Well done to all who are doing well with their NSD's and commiserations to those like myself, who are finding it a bit of a trial.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Got my cousin a moneybox shaped like a M!ni & a balooga to wrap  :rotfl:On the news this morning a lady said we use enough :xmassmile gift wrap to cover the Isle of Wight  so I'm seriously considering doing my bit to help the environment & just handing over the prezzies next year!

Morning All
Just got back from Italy and I have a question, can I claim a sneeky 3 days NSD for the weekend, because although I have been spending I have been spening money which I budgeted for so although it was a spend it was money I had already put aside to spend and I didn't spend any extras?
So what do you think? (also hope it makes sense?)
If so can you put me down for another 3 NSD

Hang on! Are there any vouchers on here somewhere for pizza or something? Not sure where to look but I've seen others mention them before.

Did my week shopping (milk and bits) on Saturday, so managed a NSD Sunday! :j
Bought beer and some reduced fresh loaves last night though, and have a few bits and pieces to get this week, so may struggle for NSDs...nearly halfway there though!0
