Difficult Decison for December; the NSD thread.

Hey You :santa2: & Greetings! I daresay there will be a continuance in the forseeable & you are most welcome to come along for the ride
We've had folk join up half-way thru for a sort of trial run if you fancy a side-bet?
Basically, it depends on how YOU want to define a 'spend'. Some of us class grocery shopping as an essential spend that doesn't affect their NSD, while others try to buy a season ticket or fill up the petrol tank just once a week to get them to work & count that as a spend.
Personally I don't include dds & paying utilities in this Challenge but groceries I do. I try to do as much as I can in one fell swoop--mainly to help reduce the petrol costs--so if I need to buy fruit for lunch boxes tomorrow, I'll see what else I can pay today to save spending again in the week.
Thank you - I won't include DDs, but I will include groceries and petrol. I fill up every 7-10 days with petrol and I shop for the main stuff every Wednesday. I combine that with my boys going to Cubs - two reasons; one is that I'm already halfway to the supermarket anyway, the second is that I don't have the lads with me so it works out cheaper! I just need to cut out the other spending in between
I'm going to stick my neck out here - three NSDs each week until January 3rd, starting today :rotfl:. That's nine altogether. Wish me luck
Chris, thanks for the welcome0 -
Had a spend day on sat, bought the final Christmas presents :T
Then on Sunday we bought a new sofa, we were going to get a two seater for £299. But spotted an ex-display corner (4 seater) in the same range, was £399, now £240!! So snapped it upit should be arriving tomorrow.

Had to spend today - needed to get my prescription (though I intend to claim that back so on it's own I may not have counted it as a spend) and the mr wanted hair gel (he goes through it like no one's business!!) and ciggies (grr) lol. Also grabbed him some pork scratchings as a treat for staying quiet and listening out for the door as i'm expecting a delivery (new phone! Free w/ upgrade mind you!) - bless him!
Could have really done with some bread but didn't think about it till I was nearly back and there is no way I'm going to justify corner shop prices when we normally use tesco value 50p loaves lol!
Need to have a think about what to take into uni tomorrow, may be hanging around there for a long time. (Exam in the evening... which I don't sense going too well)
As for what to count as spends... I don't count DDs, or payment of a bill. I do count groceries and travel expenses (I have a pass for the metro though so fairly rare I encounter these). I don't count spends completely out of vouchers, where no cash has been handed over.On the up
Our wedding day! 13/06/150 -
Just realised sat was a NSD day for me which is a result! Was up in scotland with hubs and due to him having to stay around to work we didn't end up going anywhere!
he treated me to lunch and stuff yesterday! But unfortunately still needed water and a blooming envelope and stamps to send back some cream i had in my hand luggage so was (as planned) a spend day!
Today will be too! coz sunday's are my food shopping days but flight didn't get in early enough to do it yesterday so need to do it today! have also been to boots to get a couple of extra little xmas presents!
Still, one more than I expected this weekend! Today and yesterday both no spends, thanks to this vile weather we have been having. I need to food shop again soon, plus buy last 2 chrimbo pressies for the men in my family (who I always leave till last as they are so difficult to buy for )
Hoping for another NSD tomorrow, but Wednesday will need to be a spend day or we may well starve
