We in the UK have an unelected head of state (the Queen), an unelected upper house of parliament (the House of Lords) and a wholly undemocratic lower house of parliament (the House of Commons) where the Labour party obtains a large majority of seats while only gaining 36% of the popular vote. And nearly all of our elected and unelected representatives, as has been proven in recent times, are well and truly on the fiddle. So if this is what constitutes UK democracy then give me Europe any day of the week!
Dont forget the democratically unelected labour prime minister either.0 -

I haven't been able to vote for any of the three major parties for some time now. I have always spoilt my paper, even getting a postal vote to do this.
The policies of no one party encompass my views and some are totally contradictory so there is no way I could support them. Maybe when they appear to have achieved some common sense I will changse my mind but I'm not holding my breath.
I think we should all vote for a minority party resulting in a hung parliament of minority parties then we would have restored democracyThe only thing that is constant is change.0 -
If you have to vote, why don't you all vote for anyone BUT Labour or Tory?0

I'd vote for me.
I'd soon sort out all this political correctness, swindling the State and 'spending more than we could afford' nonsense. I'd be a one-woman petty dictator who ruled with a rod of iron until we got this nation thoroughly sorted out. And then I'd let you all have a General Election so that those who bother to vote could re-elect the same morons who got us into this state in the first place.:rotfl:0 -
