    Afternoon everyone.

Took kids to soft play centre this morning and due to another disturbed night and coming down with colds they both feel asleep in the car (albeit briefly). They keep waking themselves with coughing and DS looked so peaky and ill I didn't send him to nursery in the end. H is feeling rough too so I imagine I am going to be running round after the 3 of them and I wonder who will run round after me if I get it :rotfl:
Cleaned bathroom, mopped floors and had a quick tidy round. Think tea tonight will be fahita's after seeing JC mentioning she's having it. Will make the wraps for it a bit later, need to get the chicken etc out of the freezer first.

Molly - thanks for the link will have a nose when I get chance. Happy birthday to your DS x

Lowesly - good luck with the clomid. Crossing my fingers for you that it helps xx

meanmarie - hugs to you, sorry to hear of your loss xxx

Hilstep - hmmmm can see New Years eve round at yours sampling the Bolly eh?! :D

Weather was awful last night, hope it's not as bad again tonight.
Hugs to those that need them. Have a good afternoon OS or not.

Hiya nesssie - Congrats, and Welcome back, and to halight too - great to see you, we missed you!

Bitsy beans - Sorry to hear the littles are so poorly. Our grandchildren, are too - the nearly-16y.o. has some virus which makes him feel very sick and sleep a lot, and the tinies seem to have swine flu :( - DGS always tends to get a temp when he's got even an ordinary cold, but it's very difficult to get it down this time - it takes 90 mins, and even then it won't go down far. Both have/ had temps in the 39s, though DGD seems to be over the worst. Coughing a lot, and DGS is quite lethargic, and very quiet and clingy, not like himself at all. Their Mum is a community paediatric nurse, and although she's had the jab, she has been nursing a little girl who has confirmed swine flu and was with her when the little girl first went down with it, so is wondering whether she somehow brought it home with her despite all precautions - though the DGCs go to nursery, so I'm sure they're just as likely to have caught it there. We can't go to see them, as DH has only had his jab a few days ago so it won't have "worked" yet. I hope your little ones make a quick recovery xx

lowesy - I know 2 people who conceived with Clomid and then went on to have 2nd babies unaided, so good luck!

Rachel -Glad your tooth feels a bit better. What a generous tooth fairy :j

(((HUGS))) Marie, glad having a good cry helped x

Aussie - When do you leave Oz for your trip? Are you looking forward to being cold for a while? :D

(((HUGS))) to everyone who needs some. Sorry, brain not working well today

Not a lot of OS going on here today, but have got a stew bubbling away gently for dinner later. Sorry, will have to go now, brain is a complete blank (no change there then :p), must be the Co-Codamol I had earlier on.

Looks like it's gonna be an OS Christmas hols. DD has just informed me that her Morris Dancing kit for her new 'side' comes in 'kit' form and will need sewing together. I shall think of something for her to do for me (is there a smily for 'evil grins'?). I have plans for all the 'young uns' to do their bit each day. They can empty bins, swish loos and basins and help with dishes, veg etc.

I've been making (do) some Christmas cards this afternoon. Not up to the usual standard, but will go bearing love and good wishes as usual. Scraped through the box for all the started bits and pieces and found envelopes for them. It would be nice if I can save the emergency box of cards for next year.

Work was a lot quieter that I expected, which was good as I had a visit from my NVQ assessor, there were 2 signatures missing from my work, so she popped in to get that sorted, she also liked the scarf I was knitting so much that she bought it, so that's another £7 in the pot, I'll finish it over the weekend & she's coming to collect it next week.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Gosh this week is flying by! :T I was going to start my Christmas shoppign today at lunch but it was raining so I didn't leave the office. But tomorrow I am taking my young people to Swansea for the afternoon as a treat, so wilst they sit in McD's I shall go shopping! All in a days work ;)

I wsa naughty yesterday and bought a Pizza Express pizza from MrT's so that will be my tea tonight :D along with some of the free doughballs that came with it! And then I'll have leftover pizza for lunch tomorrow.

Not much OS from me, I've washed up and wiped kitchen over that's it. Oh and put the bins out!

    Have a good evening

Ivyleaf - thankfully I think it's just a nasty cold as temps don't seem to be high. DS has eaten some tea and is not settled on the sofa feeling a wee bit sorry for himself and telling me him and his bear have poorly noses LOL!

    Evening all

Busy day at work again. Came home and made pork chops coated in apple and herb stuffing, with roast potatoes and veg for tea, was yummy:D

Finished the scarf I was knitting, not sure how to put a picture on here so any help would be appreciated:o

I have now started on a pink one for StepGD, first one will be wrapped and given as a present for Christmas. I want to do a few more for presents but the shop have run out of that wool, so will have to wait till next week for some more to come in.

Been trying to get a little organised re Christmas as I am having an op on 21st December, so need to have everything ready before then. Have written all my cards this afternoon and will spend tomorrow morning (day off) wrapping last of presents and checking what I have left to buy!

    Have a good evening all

    Evening everyone :hello:

    Hope you're ok Marie. xx
Hope the little ones are better soon Bitsy. x
Well done on the Msc Nessie. I was asking where you'd disappeared to recently.;)
Well done on the scarf Nic. To post a pic you will need to upload it to an image hosting website like photobucket or Flickr. Then you post a link to the individual pic or your album. Copy the url of the pic, then click on the image icon at the top of your reply box and paste the url.
I bought my friend a cafetiere for her birthday (which she needed) but wanted to do something homemade for her too so I invented a pattern for a knitted cafetiere cosy which I've just finished and I'm delighted with it. Will post a pic tommorrow.
Have had a raging headache all day so took it fairly easy. Got some office work done this morning and some crafting this afternoon. Tried to post my nephes' present to Australia but they wanted £55 to post it surface mail. I'll break it up into smaller parcels tommorrow and it should be cheaper _pale_
Tea was the chilli I made last night with baked spuds and soured cream. I have just cooked the FR chicken for tommorrow night's curry and have done the lunches so the rest of the night is my own.

    Take care everyone

    Haribo x

    £55? Phew!

I just emailed an ebay seller wanting £9 to post an extra small man's dress shirt - collar size is 13/13.5, so not exactly going to be heavy. THink he's being a bit greedy. Checked afterwards, he's wanting that kind of price for everything, £7 for a necklace! It would go for the cost of a first class stamp plus 75p for signed for.

Broken the back of the Christmas cards. Hooray for the Xyron! A few more bits to stick then I will have another 50ish sorted, so on the home straits, or is that straights?

Just remembered, my makeup remover wipes (Neutrogena for my dry aging skin LOL!) were almost out, so I thought I would check at ALdi to see if they have them. 77p a pack and they seem fine. That's quite a saving.
