Morning all,
Molly41 - Happy birthday to your DS!!! Oh and thanks for the linky that is just the sort of thing I love!
nmlc - glad to hear that OH's nan is pulling through - she sounds like she's tough as old boots (in a good way of course
)
Lovely weather here. Bright and sunny but very crisp and still a bit blowy. Am still feeling a bit shaky so keep telling myself to buck up as the sun is shining - who knows I may even listen to myself in a bit...
Have to do the dreaded Tesco shop this evening. Still need to plan a couple of meals so will nip over to the meal planning thread for inspiration in a bit. Not much else on the OS front today - haven't really got the inclination at present.
Have a lovely day all, ((((((hugs))))))
PS - sorry what a miserable post! Won't be tomorrow promise...Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

Morning Chums, dry and windy and even a bit of strange light in the sky , oh yes it's the sun.Not warm, but a welcoming sight after days of greyness.
Just had a lovely warming bowl of porridge for breakfast which will keep me full till lunchtime.I'm just going to do a college run with my youngest DGD followed by a trip to the tip with a bag of junk, and then I have to pop into the library to renew a book. Hopefully I shall get home by 11 ish and then I only have some pastry to roll out for an apple pie. I had lots of apples given to me, so I stewed them yesterday in a little lemon juice and sugar so I will tuck them inside some pastry for a pie. This afternoon I am going to put my feet up, and catch up on some missed t.v. whilst finishing off the four ply cardi I am making for DD's friend who's baby is due in January. That will be about the extent of my jobs today I think.
Oh I will stick a washload on in a minute, as I want to take advantage of the dry windy weather as I'm sure it won't last for long.
Hope everyone has as productive day as I have<<hugs to those in need>>
take care all

Hi Guys,
Thanks for good wishes for DS birthday. He seemed very pleased with his presents but not so pleased that he actually had to go to school this morning. We are having chinese for tea - his choice - so looking forward to that.
Im going to drag DD out to Garden Centre to look at christmas decorations. She not very happy this morning so thought it would be good to get out and about. The sun is shining although its cold and blustery.I cant believe this but im actually paying her to go out to a party on Saturday night  Her excuse for not going is no money - so i have taken that one away
She is such a hermit at the moment and got a lovely invite from one of her old friends so I think she will have a lovely time. I think she suffers from SAD. Im going to put the lamp in her bedroom for a while.
OS - well the washing machine is whirring as usual and Ive sorted my kitchen. Need to have a quick tidy up and clean the toilets. Hopefully my cleaner here again tomorrow.
Lowesy - I had many ladies who did very well with Chlomid...very quickly... so keep positive and stress free. Stress affects hormones which affects ovulation...hence why lots of ladies conceive on holiday. Thinking of you x
Hope everyone has a good day,
Love MollyxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hi everyone,
I'm going to try to post more regularly even though I feel guilty at not being as OS as a lot of you!
Last night was a bit of a washout as DH was trying to establish a Skype connection between our laptop and the netbook we have bought DD for her trip (Christmas pressie). Unfortunately although he could see and hear me I could only see him and not hear so that will be another night wasted.
DS has asked for a digital photo frame with copies of all our photos for Christmas so DH has also been playing with a new negative scanner. I must admit the results are impressive but it will take ages to transfer all the photos we have. I think DS was taken with the slide show we did of his Grandma for her funeral with lots of old photos - it was lovely.
After work tonight I want to tackle the paper mountain on the worktop and start making lists of presents to buy so that we can have a productive shopping trip this weekend - a visit to concrete cow country I think LW.0 -
Morning all!
Sun is shining here today, makes a lovely change! Still very windy though, best remember to go and grab the recycling box in a mo, else I'll be hunting up and down the street!
OS stuff today will be some cleaning and tidying round downstairs, another bash at dd3's room, a spot of cooking, which should include brownies, rolls, and anything else I fancy once I get going! Still not made the ninjabread men, so will have a bash at those maybe.
Lunches today for girls: couscous salad with peppers, chickpeas, red onions, lemon juice and a dot of harissa, satsuma, choc muffin, cheese cubes and pepperoni
Lunch for me: will see what I can force down, still finding it hard to eat properly, think my stomach has shrunk, very irritating as I'm hungry, then too full to eat any more after a couple of bites! Will keep going with little and often!
Dinner will be toad in the hole with mini roasties and sprouts for the girls, mine will be some soup and a roll taken to work.
Heard from ds yesterday, he had stopped in Belgium when I got the first text, then another arrived to tell me he'd arrived, flurry of texts resulting in the knowledge that the teachers are boring, it's cold and there's a maccy d's opposite the hostel! Bless him!
Hope everyone has a good day, gonna make a cuppa and catch up properly xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

An unexpected day of for me, as DD off ill from school. Not sure if she's pulling a fast one or not, if I find she is there will be serious trouble! Have just told her she is not allowed on the laptop to check her emails (talk on MSN more like!), and that she will not be watching tv all day. Whatever it is, I hope she is better tomorrow, as I'm supposed to be going to the Good Food Show.
I watched Paradox that I recorded last night - did anyone else see it? I thought it was quite good, so will be watching the rest of the series.
Off to do some washing and drying now, deep joy!
have a great day.0 -
Morning All!
Haven't posted lately, but read the thread. Been busy with things. DD has finally settled in to her house. Pregnancy is going well. Another scan on 14th December. Heard the baby's heartbeat last week:T
DS is currently cut off from most things, because of the floods in Cumbria. They weren't actually flooded out, but live in the next town to Workington, and all the bridges are out, so they have a 30 mile round trip just to get into town:eek:
(((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to anyone who needs them.
HM leek and potato soup for lunch today. Physio this afternoon.
Went to Morrisons Monday and bought 4 bottles of half price Bollinger for Christmas. Love Bolly, but can only buy it when on offer!:rotfl:
Got to go andd clean this house:mad:
Have a good day all!I Believe in saving money!!!:T
