I've been like this for a few years - frustrating, as Mr LW likes going to restaurants, but we can't do that now, as I can't eat a full meal, can barely manage just a starter and then I'm totally full.

I should be getting on with a spot of cleaning, but am taking a time-out to post instead. I've tried to explain to the resident spiders that building without planning permission is a no-no, but they don't take any notice.:D

No idea what's for dins tonight, but have got some raspberries out of the freezer to make raspberry fool.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.

Morning...sorry, Afternoon all. Been into work for one lesson then took MIL to garden centre. We shared a sandwich and a cake. All we got was some vouchers for mil's friends for Xmas.

Home again. Was nice when we set off but weather is miserable now. I've a cup of tea and sitting with the news doing some mending. need to go and set up the sewing machine now. Lots more jobs to do.

Got to collect ds today and go into see both music teachers that can't make parents' evening tomorrow. Expecting everything to be OK.

Dinner will be pasta bake from freezer that is already sitting in fridge. I don't feel highly motivated at the moment, so anything that gets done will be a bonus.

Hope you have an OK day.

We have sunshine in Belfast...no Really!! It's streaming in the office window as I type.. bet it doesnt last too long!

Did a MS job on the way to work today and got lunch sorted and DS1 dropped me off as he wanted the car but he just took DD (3) out to McD's for her lunch which she loved! she said it was Brilliant!! (everything is brilliant this week...last week she 'loved' everything!)

I'm doing credit control at work today which Is sometimes hard as I think i'm too nice to push for money - we all know what its like to have bills we struggle with! But needs must.

Took some chicken breast out of freezer last night which along with some red & green peppers and red onions will be transformed into Fajita's for dinner - might throw some HM wedges in the oven - see how hungry every one is. I don't think DS1 has eaten since he passed his driving test...he always seems to be out!

Still haven't got started on my Christmas To Do List - maybe I should start with a list of lists that i need to do... gives you a sense of accomplashing something when you've done a list - eventhough everything on th list is still to do!

I'm rambling (sugar rush from the Starbar :D)

Have a good day - lets hope the weather's on the turn

    Hi all

After a couple of challenging days, had a decent one so far, sun is shining, which usually makes a huge difference to my mood. Been to the nurse and my blood pressure is perfect and my weight down YIPPEE!

Got to do a bit of work to do and then will keep making my roman blinds.

DH recovering well from the flu and is up today, sitting in the sunny living room and reading the paper I brought him (he cannot stay for more than 3 days without news from the outside world - go figure....).

Hope you are all well, off to work now!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Afternoon all,

had a good weep this morning and feel better now, sudden death is nice for the one who dies, wouldn't have grudged her that..thanks for all kind thoughts.

OH is cooking dinner as he reckons that he is the expert on cooking corned beef hash....would I let him think otherwise??

Sunny at present here but not very warm, going to chance a wash outside, like my towels to get a good blow as it makes them nice and soft, not going anywhere so can be on the watch for more of the heavy showers we've had earlier.

OS today will be to soak the fruit in booze for Christmas cake and pudding, using brandy as we seem to have several bottles, no idea why as I never buy it. Going to try to make mince 'ravioli' pies this year....blobs of mincemeat on sheet of pastry, top with another and cut out as for ravioli and bake as usual....I am SO lazy when it comes to mince pies, used to make large tart years ago as I find the individual ones very fiddly.

Need at some stage to get out all the 'bits' that I have for Christmas, think I am nearly finished but want to make sure that I don't find myself on Christmas Eve with something still to buy.

Kind thoughts and hugs to all who are suffering in any way

Left the house at 7.45 to go York for anti coagulant clinic- DH drove me.

Found the hotel where the pre retirement day is being held tomorrow as I really want to go with DH and find out as much as I can in case I have missed something.

Popped into Aldi and got a three bird roast and also a turkey crown which I have put in the freezer for Christmas etc.

Got home and put mince, carrots, onions and sausages in the slow cooker for tea and also peeled some potatoes to go with it.

After an open sandwich, a yoghurt and a banana for lunch DH insisted I rest so upstairs with laptop and pot of tea watching the rain outside - bliss!

    Hugs to every body

Oops - been away for too long, ended up posting this in yesterday's thread. Sorry for any confusion and it's probably just as well that Pen Pin closed it!

    Hello everyone!

I hope that this finds you all well? Sorry I've not been posting on a regular basis for the last few months, but life's been busy!

I finished my MSc and was delighted to find out that I've been awarded a distinction. In addition, I was studying for my Environmental Health exams and I passed those a few weeks back too.

I don't know what to do with myself now that I don't have to study in the evenings!

I'm away to try and catch up on things in the thread.
