Dooyoo miles??

  • I have very recently been removed from the dooyoo site and I'm thoroughly upset and have no idea what I have done. I had JUST reached 50,000 points and was on the verge of cashing them in (just waiting for the points to be verified in my account) and then I find that my password and username don't work, email isn't recognised etc. Upon searching for my name I discover that my profile has been deleted and the message "This member has been removed (temporarily or permanently) from the site." is being shown.

They have not emailed me to tell me my account was in violation or anything like that, it just literally stopped me from logging in.

I am not a speed clicker or revenge rater, and I have spent many months writing and editing these reviews, commenting on others and rating people fairly, yet now every single one of my reviews has now been removed from the site and I presume they intend not to pay me. I have emailed them twice but received no reply and have no idea how to proceed.

I understand there are unscrupulous people on dooyoo.com who write exactly 150 words of nonsense just to get points, but I had spent time and a great deal of effort building up a good reputation on there, had received very high ratings, and now this? I am at a loss. How do you report a website for doing something like this, and has anyone experienced it before?

    I've added you nonnynonny!
  • Dooyoo have also deleted mine, and my two housemates, accounts. They've FINALLY emailed back after much pestering and given differing reasons to all of us - to my housemate they claimed he had 'duplicate accounts' as we all (obviously) use the same IP address, however to me they claim I was 'speed clicking' their reviews. Utter nonsense. As two of us are due payments, it all seems VERY suspicious. I intend to report them to trading standards asap. What awful service, and what an unscrupulous method they're using to avoid having to pay their contributors. Dreadful.
  • Oh, and we're speculating whether the company is probably going under - hence the reluctance to pay out and the massive delays in responding to queries....
  • DooYoo did this to me. I cashed in some miles last year for amazon vouchers - recieved nothing, contacted them and they said i'd have to contact amazon as it was not their problem. Annoying.

Just decided to start up again, won't take any nonsence this time if they get dodgy with me! :(

Not paying suppliers is usually the first step towards going out of business.

I just registered with dooyoo, don't think I'll give them the opportunity to fleece me now.

You don't actually pay anything. just write reviews and they do pay out, albeit a bit slow with the cheques. Go for vouchers if you want it quick.

I joined up a few days ago and have spent hours writing (I hope) helpful reviews and rating other people's. I wonder if I'm wasting my time.

I just had 2 of my reviews locked and a formal warning that if any more of my reviews are in breach of the rules, my account will be closed.

I wrote a review for the video game "GTA IV" on PS3 and copy/pasted it over to another review for the video game "GTA IV" on PC. The start and middle of the review were almost identical (which is in breach of Dooyoo rules) but I wrote 200 words after that with brand new content, yet my review was still locked.

I have just over 30,000 Dooyoomiles, if I cash them in for an Amazon voucher, does the voucher last forever? or does it expire after so long? I ask because I have no plans to buy anything at the moment from Amazon.
