  • Just back from a fantastic two weeks in the sun (Canaries - Fuerteventura) :cool:

    While sipping Sangria in the sun, had a think about the remaining balance and after a bit of jiggery pockery we should be able to bring the mortgage free date in by 3 weeks, so we should be mortgage free on 5th October.

    Its been 5 years since the start of our MF journey with the last 3 years being on this forum. Still cant believe we only have days to go.

    Current Position-Fully off set by savings since March 2013
  • Nothing major planned, will be going out for a nice meal after the visit to the bank to transfer the final amount.

    Planning some hols for next year so that will be our treat.

  • I've just read your whole thread in one go-it's so exciting seeing the numbers dropping! Massive congrats.
    Starting Mortgage (May 2012): £116,095, Mortgage at September 2012: £115,677.14
    Mortgage at March 2014: £110,671.08
  • £500 overpayment for September has made its way into the mortgage account, which means the total is now down to £1,630

    Another mortgage payment comes off on the 3rd then its into the bank on Friday 5th to pay the rest off.
