I was just about to order Magic tickets through an independent travel agent, priced at £35 for a 1 day adult hopper, £25 for a 1 day child hopper. They are delivered as e-tickets, exchangeable at the park. Has anybody else ordered from such a site?

Hi what travel agents was that please?

  • I thought disneyland paris was mainly for children to enjoy. though children aged 12 to 16 are excluded in this offer! It annoys the hell out of me that travel agents are differnt from every thing else regarding the age of an adult. The terms of this offer to disneyland paris quote "Adults are aged 12 years and above at the time of travel" I was planning on taking my family, (son aged 11 and my daughter aged 16) my son will be 12 in february so will then be classed as an adult! crazy world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi , we live in France so all have annual passes to disneyland Paris , i have the Fantasy whilst the wife and two kids have the cheaper ones , the Fantasy gives free parking and bigger discount in the restaurants and disney stores , i show my pass if we buy anything , anyway these passes cost us 99euros for the cheapest ones and 139 euro for the Fantasy one , i have got a catalogue from Carrefour listing there special deals , if you buy the Fantasy pass from them it will cost only 99euros from today , deal ends on 08 - 01 -2011 , there website is in french , perhaps someone may be able to Translate , i have noticed the Dream passport is 139 euro rather than 199 euro also , giving you 15 % discount on tickets to buffalo bills dinner and other benefits , i will post the link it may help someone

Yes, I'm in the same boat - my "children" are 18, 16 & 15 and would love to go to Disney again. I think it's not really worth going unless you're going for 2 days or more which would cost our family £500+ not including the ferry, tolls, hotels etc. Just not worth it.

The adult/children thing is really annoying as it's different for different countries, whether you're travelling by ferry or air, hotel stays or camping etc. etc.

I noticed you can get Eurodisney tickets now through Tesco Clubcard Buy in Full. This makes the tickets around half price. Worth a thought if you've got vouchers?

Thank you for this info! As we are a family of 5, we would get a 20% discount on the Annual Passes so it is worth us buying the Fantasy passes. Do you know what the block-out days are for 2011 for the Fantasy Pass?

    Thanks - you're a star! :)

I can't take advantage of the Sun offer but might still look at taking the family just after Xmas. I think it would be worth buying the passports as I'm sure we would use them.

  • Hi I am plan to go for the first time.

But not sure how long it will take me to get from calais to DLP, any additional costs. Is it cheaper to get taxi?

What documents do I need to take along? e.g. car insurance, passport etc?

What time I would need to leave the park to get to the ferry in time?

Is the route well sign-posted etc?

I assume you mean driving from Calais to DLP? If so, it will take 2.5 - 3 hrs using the motorways and it will cost you around £12 each way on the toll roads (someone correct me if I'm way off here). All the tolls take credit cards so you can use these to pay for them if you don't have any euros.

Check out the route on Google maps - you can print the pages off if you don't have a Sat nav or a paper map.

You will need all your car docs & your passports. Plus, there are certain things you're supposed to carry in your car in France which you're not required to do here - 2 Warning Triangles, Reflective jacket etc. Also, make sure your headlights are adjusted for right hand driving (you can buy adaptors if necessary) I have to admit we've not had these things in the past when we've been to France but we have acquired them over the years. It's up to you whether to take the risk or not. NOTE: It is much cheaper to buy them from Ebay etc. than on the ferry!

DLP is well signposted once you get past Paris - but I would have a map just in case.

I would allow 3.5 to 4 hrs to leave the park to get to the ferry in time. This will get you back to Calais an hour before the ferry leaves which gives you some margin in case of any delays.

Definitely check out the DLP website before you go and plan ahead for the shows you want to see, rides etc. Familiarise yourself with the layout as well - it'll save you a lot of time once you're there.

    Have fun - it's a fantastic experience! :)

  • Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had a spare voucher for this deal I could buy off you? I collected 7 but lost one (somehow!!) and now only have 6. Please let me know!
    Thanks
