So are they still on the back of the seat and capable of holding a map?

I'd say that makes it a seat pocket made out of net, what were you expecting 24k gold?

Have you accepted delivery and ownership of the vehicle? If so, when?

Do you have a sales brochure for this model (specific to the most current spec)?

    Is the car on finance?

The answers to these questions will inform the actions you may be able to take.

  • The exact specification of your car should be listed on the order form. Which you will have signed.

Check that first. If the order form spec differs from the vehicle spec, then reject the vehicle.

I have accepted the vehicle, mid september I raised once i realised these issues existed with the dealer within one week with the general mananger, hesaid they can change the specification. The manager would contact the manufacturer to confirm as customer services for manufactuer said they should be on the car. After contacting him again he said he had no reply from the manufacturer and we would know when he knew. He never came back to us 9 weeks later on this is the post! I have brochures and specifications for then at order time and todays specification and they are stated in the brochure and specification. Nets are described as nets on other models, this states pockets and has pictures of them. On the order form it states the model and version of that model. The specification I have for that model version has these as standard features NOT optional. on the order form that forms the contract no where does it state that they will change the specification of the vehicle. I paid for it particially with credit card as deposit, mixture of cash and personal loan for the remainder.
  • Please name the the vehicle model/trim leve and manufacturer. I would contact the manufacturer's customer service department directly, explaining your problems, particularly the lack of response from the dealership.

    Yes, and that specification included
...The manufacturer states they can change the specification without notice, ...

Manufacturer's have break points in their plants for introduction of design changes. All vehicles produced after that break point will have those design changes included.

You can't expect a manufacturer of mass produced cars to hand build a car to your desired specification.
