Hi
A property I bid on has sold and completed. I am just being nosey as to what the winning bidders bid was versus mine as I was cash and they had to get a mortgage. Anyone know how long it takes for the sold price to appear on Zoopla and the like?

3 months milliewilly, that's how long it takes for land registry data to catch up, and that's what most of the sold prices sites use.Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

Just had a thought actually, when you say bid, was it an auction property?Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

It was a reposession via an estate agent that 3 of us bid on.0 -
Not advertised in any of the local papers? Will the agent not tell you?Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

Didn't go in the press and EA won't tell me other than it was 'significantly more'.
Apparently the winning bidders survey sailed through so I can only think they had a valuation as the roof needed serious work possibly replacement which was a substantial job as the house had a round turret.
We were the only ones who took a torch and went into the loft - there were buckets everywhere collecting the water hence the level of my bid reflected this.0 -
It will probably be the usual 3 months then, maybe sooner but I know it's a pain to keep checking! Sounds like an interesting property-a turret?!Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0

This is just round the corner from us, about 200 yds.
not sure if that is the type of turret the OP means. There are several houses with this type of structure here.0 -
That looks nice! Millie are you buying a house like landy's posted or have you got your eye on a castle?
sounds like I'm just as nosey as you! Scar tissue that I wish you saw, sarcastic mister know it all, close your eyes and I'll kiss you cause with the birds I'll share this lonely view.0 -
I don't think there is a hard and fast rule tbh. I'm waiting for a property to come on that was sold in September - agent would only give me a rough figure! I would have thought it would have been on by now as there have been houses in other I streets around there sold after that and showing!
I have heard a few people on here (I asked about this a little while back) say there sale never went on but they don't know why - very odd!
Hope you get to find out - let's hope they didn't get too much of a surprise when they went to store their Christmas Tree in the loft then lol!0
