t mobile refused contract!?

Hi,
My DH ordered a phone from buymobilephones.net on Thurs,11 months free on a 12 month contract with T-mobile but later on in the day had an email to say that the network(t-mobile)had declined his contract!
After calling buymobilephones they said they had no other info other than it was declined and after speaking to T-mobile they said he had to write to them to get more details.
Does anyone know what possible reasons they could have to decline a contract? We have an excellent credit rating so cannot think why elsethey would refuse!!!!
Thanks:confused:

What is his credit rating like, does he have a lot of credit already, such as several current accounts, credit cards (even if not in use, the credit is available), loans. Has he ever defaulted on paying back credit such as loans, mobile phones, gym membership etc.

Odd, doesn't sounds like a credit or identity check problem.

Have you tried getting a contract direct from t-mobile rather than via a 3rd party company.

No,DH was hoping to get a free line rental deal via redemption, which he has done for the last 3 years, also on the email they advised not to try getting another contract for 3 months as it can diversely effect your credit rating!?

A mobile contract is similar to a credit application. The advice is no more than 3 applications in 3 months. So he could still try via another 3rd party provider.

Do you think its worth trying for a similar deal with another 3rd party?Wouldn't T-mobile refuse that one aswell?

I would ring t-mobile sales team ( http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobile-phones/order-by-phone/ ) first and ask if they would accept you as a customer, if they would then buying via another 3rd party is worth a shot.
