Then you would just be wasting money on TT Pro. Just get Essentials, which is 40GB and £6.49. That should then cost you £17.74pm once the exchange has gone LLU.
right, ill look into it when they eventually call me. but he said £15 for line rental and phone calls, and another 6 quid for broadband when we go live, so im presuming thats the offer, but if there is a cheaper alternative when the go live i will ask.

Yes, but have you checked that your line can support more than up to 8Mb anyway?

Hi Silkyuk9,
Could you let me know which exchange you are on then I can see if there is any upgrade work scheduled for your exchange.
Cheers

PS: TT exchange status now shows the enablement date as 26/10/09-so it's presumably delayed again presumably. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

as the other two lads have said, im on the whitby exchange in north yorkshire. the exchange says went live 4/7/2009 which is not correct. ive spoken to talktalk about this yesterday. i have swapped over my phone calls and phone line to talktalk and will switch broadband service when it is enabled. hopefully this will be in a matter of weeks, well according to the telesales guy anyway. All the big powers they've silenced me. i'm also from Whitby,
you realise that Whitby is about 5 years behind the rest of the country in general when it comes to "new" technology...
that telephone exchange will not be upgraded anytime soon, I remember the original campaign to get broadband in Whitby, we got it about 2 years after they were installing it in villages and hamlets everywhere else in the country (apart from n.yorkshire)
the broadband in whitby is still quick enough, you've just got limited options...
at least your not on the Sleights exchange! :eek:0 -
I live just down coast from you, given Whitby is a sizeable town I would have thought LLU would be done now, certainly where I live it is, and currently migrating to LLU on 1/12
Hope you dont have long to wait, I knwo whats its like having slow speed I am still on 2mb but thats down to choice because I rather have decent cap0
