Yes but her payment has been interrupted so if she is successful then she will be entitled to the full 26 weeks, which if she isnt getting any at the moment will take her past the Jan date ?

But it sounds as though the 'interruption' was a sanction. So the entitlement to JSA(c) would notbe extended.

FWIW, OP I think the sanction is the correct decision, I would be interested in its duration as i think you should only get a very short one

Definitely. The saying "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all" springs to mind lol. (excluding obvious facts of course).

One of the reasons I seldom ask for help on thsi site as you are then subjected to all sorts of insults and attacks. That is the problem with forums that are not moderated properly!
  • go in to sign on tomorrow as usual and ask them to check the dates that the disallowance has been made for, (it may only be a couple of weeks and not the full 26) they should be able to clarify the situation from the labour market system and if you disagree put it in writing asking for a reconsideration with every small piece of detail you have dont miss anything out, as for other questions there was an updating with the national insurance records system which is probably where the conflicting information comes from being short of contributions and then being awarded it . (some customers were asked to produce p60's)

potnoodleprincess: JSA (contribution based) is only payable for 182 days that is why it would run out in january and if there is a disallowance within those days those days are still counted within the 182.

change you contribution-based jsa into income-based jsa, if when your benefits stop in January,

    Income-based JSA from the book

    You may get this if
The money you have coming in is less than the law says you need to live on, and
you and your partner have savings of £16,000 or less

The amount you get is for:

    You and your partner
each child who is a member of your family (for any new claim from 6th April 2004 child tax credit must be claimed for any children instead of jsa)
specials needs, i.e. if you are disabled, and
    certain housing costs..

The amount may be reduced if you or your partner have:
    saveings over £6.000, and
money coming in each week, e.g. pensions, money paid to you by lodgers, or maintenance payments.

finally got this to post was getting a message saying it was too short? all of the above

It's probably too late now, but it sounds like you might have had a case for constructive dismissal back in June when it was all happening. You could ask CAB what the time limits are for this, but I have a feeling it has to be within a couple of weeks of leaving.

Good luck today, let us know how you get on.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Excuse me but did you even bother to read my original post? When did I say I hated my job? When did I say I felt unable to do it properly? The issue was not with my 'job', but with the malicious bullying from my boss/stepmother.
Why don't you take your nasty comments somewhere else? :T
