Please can someone remove this thread completely? Thanks.

I was upset before I started it and now I really wished I had not.

Best it is just gone and forgotten I think.

  • To be honest, there's no point banging on about insurance - the OP's parents don't have it, so we need to consider alternatives - if there are any!

Having the poor dog PTS is not free either

I did not want a vet fund, just some advice to pass on.

Not all posters want a lecture before advice is given, neither do they want judgment.

Please lock my thread then if you can.

    Thank you for your help.

What a terrible situation. If they get a diagnosis then it doesnt end there Im afraid. I think they/you need to ring the RSPCA/Dogs Trust/Blue Cross and any other local rescue who may have contacts tomorrow and ask if there is anyone who could help this dog. Poor little soul. I wish you the best in finding speedy help for him.

Could you ring the PDSA for them and explain how dire their situation is - they may be able to refer you to another charity?

Thank you to all those that have genuinely tried to help.

I am devastated to hear the news about him. Losing a pet is so hard.

I will not let him suffer. Neither will my parents. I wanted to be able to offer them a Ray of hope. I will sell whatever I can to help. If it is the big C then clearly none of us must be selfish. Doesn't mean we won't miss him like crazy tho. X

  • I think that some people on this board are extremely heartless to these 2 oaps, they probably havent got 2 pennies to rub together never mind affording pet insurance. Not everyone CAN afford it but it shouldnt mean that 2 old people in their twilight years be denied the pleasure of a little dog. For goodness sake im sick to death of reading such drivel off people with nothing nice to say. I hope the OP gets help from the rspca because obviously they are in genuine need.
  • I had to make the decision to have my cat put to sleep yesterday, not put down, worst thing I have ever had to do. OP I hope you find someone that can help one way or another.
