Hugs to you LL it can't be easy at all but I see it as you getting some independence back, you will be able to go further and see more with your chair. My FIL needs one but won't give in and it makes everything so restrictive, I am sure he is getting more and more depressed as he can't get out much as it wears him out. I know it's a pride thing with him. Hope I haven't offended in any way.
I agree with this, my mum has a wheelchair which she uses on holiday or days out when she is feeling tired, and it means she can keep going a lot longer than she would without it, and she enjoys things more as she is less tired during the day out or whatever. Having a wheelchair isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's a good thing! BTW, my mum is a young 50 year old, so wheelchairs are not for fuddy duddys which is often the impression people have.

Jill wot colour did you colour your hair?

Kazm why were you so breathless? Sounds worrying, hope you are ok

I've had a good morning, been to PO, posted four parcels and bought thread while there! Went to fax shop, and also to sequin shop. It was nice to be out in the sunshine. Talked to mum when I got home too. Very successful day so far!

Am going to sit and sequin a red flower now, see you later!

    Afternoon all

    Today's list complete

I've done the washing and hung it round indoors, some sunshine and very windy but then it will suddenly chuck it down with rain. Wouldn't have thought there was any rain left up there after last night.

Not caught up yet, hope everyone's OK.

ETA Lady-L sorry you're having a rubbish time of it :(
  • bounce.gifthumbs%20up.gifOh, I forgot to tell you, got a letter today from insurers re DH's crash in July. They are going to pay us £650!!!! We thought if we got anything at all it would only be about £200, so we are well chuffed! Going to throw it at over draft and CC!clap.gifbanana.gif

The Mattress is finally dry and back on the little ones bed. I gave it a last blast of fabreze and left it overnight for good measure. (Im paranoid it might still smell because I cant smell anything.)

The chest of drawers from the spare room is in his bedroom again with his TV etc. Ive put only clothes that fit him and some more of the toys he wants to keep back in his room. As I am going through the washing, things that dont fit and dont belong to him are being bagged as I go, so they are still cluttering up my downstairs, but Im getting there!

Another two bags have gone out to the bin, a box to be stored in the garage of halloween stuff which was in the dining room.

I rediscovered one half of my kitchen work surfaces, so they have been throroughly scrubbed. I have no dirty washing (well I didnt when I left the house this morning!) as I put the last wash on as I left for work. So Im hoping to get everything dry and sorted asap and get rid of everything that isnt staying.

    My bedroom is :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

It looks like my wardrobe exploded! Well never mind, babysteps, babysteps!!

Im going round all the rooms systematically looking for damp/mouldy/mildew signs, and have found them round most of the upstairs windows. My bedroom only had the tiniest bit but I bleached that yesterday and gave it another go last night too! Hopefully that should see the end of that. The Window in the upstairs hall is next and then the bathroom is going to get one big degrot! I will take the blinds down when I go home tonight.

Anyway off to read some of the thread whilst I eat my lunch! xxx

Love n hugs n vibes n kisses xxx

  • Hi all. I'm a bit late I know but just checking in for the week. We had a
really busy weekend doing some redecorating and general sorting out. As a result there are bits and pieces all over the place waiting to go back to their proper homes but the painting looks like it's going to need a second coat this weekend and I can't be doing with putting everything back just to move it all again on Saturday!
Then I've had a couple of days of being ill yet again. I'm hoping that really is it now and I'll be well for the rest if the winter!
Hope everyone else is ok. Catch you all later

Poop - I've spent several hours retracing dog walk this morning on which I managed to lose my mobile phone! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Oh well, it's only a phone and 02 have been FABULOUS at blocking the phone and the sim card. Slightly sad that I've lost my favourite picture of the children but it's made me realise I really MUST back up photos on the computer. So, any of you who haven't done it.....

PLEASE BACK UP YOUR PHOTOS ON YOUR PHONE / COMPUTER!!

I'm so glad I've only lost one photo.....I'd be really upset to lose the rest.

Ok, sermon over. Now I need to get a new phone PDQ as quite a few clients book treatments via mobile. I also need to do my list! xx
