I was sick after mine but I also stopped steroids on the same day. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Anyone had side effects from swine flu jab? Mine is booked for Thursday and we are away for wedding no.4 on Friday.

DD got her's 4 weeks ago and said it felt a bit sore for a few days, she's due her second dose this week. I'll have to pin her down again.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

The weekend at home was horrible. But I knew it would be. I was snappy and moody at everyone, my brother is really not coping too well he's moody and grumpy and had a cold as well which didn't help, mum is okay on the surface, but I can tell she's struggling. We counted up all of the goats and sorted through them, it's really hard because the farm was dad's project. All of the tractors and machinery has gone already, so the place looks really different. As long as I can remember we've had at least one tractor in pieces in the barn and at least one on the drive. Now it's all gone.

Huge hugs for you Carol. It's a very difficult time for all of you.

Poohbear...hope all is OK with your DH. Sorry, but I disagree with you on the needing hugs bit...you need some support too so that you can support everyone else. So I'm sending some to you :grouphug: xxx

Hugs for LadyL and Toots too. Don't go overdoing it Toots!

    I have:
    finished icing the cake
prepared stew and slow cooker on now
    peeled potatoes.
made tomato pasta sauce for lunch...the rest of which is to be used for pizza for the girls and me.
    wedges currently par boiling

Phew....when I typed potatoes above I remembered that I'd left them boiling and forgot. Fortunately they're not ruined.

Will go and tidy the hall ready for visitors.

Doesnt look like i've done much 'on paper' but I think I have got the hard part done.

Empitied bookcase and moved to my room
Put Chest of drawers in space previously occupied by bookcase
Emptied old, shabby, falling apart plastic drawer unit thing into chest of drawers
Started organising stuff into piles.. paper packs, stickers/embelishments, kits etc

I WILL have order in my house before xmas(and then have to start all over again hehe)

I had my flu jab last week, and felt no ill effects....
Although, I was sick on Saturday :(
We had dinner out, and I think it might have been jalepeno peppers that did not agree with me.
The same thing happened a few months ago, when I had nacho's.
Going to avoid them from now on, which is a shame, cos I really do like them :o

Maybe you should phone NHS 24 for a little advice ??
    :)
