    Evening all

Wilf - that's top news about the golfing equipment - well done your DS!
Boddy - how's your Mum - is the home treating her a little better?
Sexym - glad you're beginning to feel better and that school is tolerable
AnW's - hope the SWs recover quickly and you don't get it.

Hairdresser came this afternoon so I'm all trimmed and coiffed. I've done a lot of writing today in between feeding the washing machine which is good. I am now contemplating on what I should cook for dinner. I'm thinking the Soappie Special of pasta and bacon and whatever else is lurking in the fridge.

    - Miss sure is lucky - I've got nothing but water from those stalls! Hope she feels better soon

Piggers - sympathise about your neck - mine is really playing up too

X factor time now and I'm just going to sit as rather tired now.

Oh my giddy aunt! What a day!

First of all my apologies for not reading the thread...this is the first time I've sat down since this morning. Managed to get my new phone but it was a bit of a pain because the new sim arrived (with the old number) but it wouldn't work. Anyway, to cut a very long story short I eventually took it to the O2 shop in a local town and they went above and beyond the call of duty to sort it all out for me. So, I bought the new phone from them (it's the same as the one I was going to buy online) and I also bought the phone for my daughter (still can't get my head round the getting them so young but she does start high school in September so at least this is something she really wants). They also doubled the call time I put on both phones so DD will have lots to practise with (when that's gone she pays for herself though calls to me and her dad will be free!).

Then I went to get the Star Wars lego DS wanted. He wasn't sure when we were in the shop two weeks ago. Now you can't get the one he wants for love nor money - actually, you can get it for double the price so that's a NO WAY! Anyway, I got him another really nice set - this one for those interested -

Can't get the link to work so it's the Lego Star Wars Home One Mon Calamari Starcruiser (7754)

They also had an offer on that if you spent over £75 you got a free £20 lego voucher to spend after December 27th and as it's DS's birthday in January that'll help! The only thing I need to try and get now is a lego chewbacca (sp?) which is the reason he wanted the other set
apparently (and I am trying to say this with a straight face) it is his life ambition to have a lego chewbacca!!! I kid you not! He'll live!

And that was the short version of my day. Cream crackered but it was also kind of fun as no children and I just turned the radio up loud in the car and sang! I was the dodgy woman on the motorway singing at the top of her voice!

    Hugs to you all xxxxx

    L-L - enjoy Brighton! I love it there :D

AnW - hugs for Miss A (and W and you too!)

sexymouse - glad your week was ok and good to hear the Union have been in touch. Take care x

Toots - thanks; I know it will help in the long run. I just need to get the first one out of the way!

So much for the sunny spells! It's been chucking it down here since about 4 o'clock and it's supposedly not going to let up for a couple of days! Strong winds forecast too!

Verdict is, it's a sprain - no sign of fracture. Treatment? And I hope you're reading this carefully Greenbee - NO strapping, walk on it normally and pop painkillers if it hurts.
Good to hear it's OK. Thanks soappie - I think the support is because I have hypermobile ankles and so am likely to keep doing the same thing again  but I'm going to hassle the physio about the lack of progress when I see her on the 9th. Oh yes... and I can't take painkillers, so I'm just going to have to stick with ice for the heat & swelling. I think the massage is helping, slowly. I'll get my dad to check it on Monday too.

I had a lovely day making cakes, and have more pictures for you but they may have to wait till Tuesday as I'm not sure I can get them off my blackberry at the moment... Here's ONE that I managed to email myself... th_IMG00013-20091128-1606.jpg

sexymouse - pleased to hear things are getting better

cyclingyorkie - your OH needs to compromise. The snoring is one thing (I recommend ear plugs or separate bedrooms!), but the radio is just selfish.

rach - congrats on the walk

wilf - congrats on progress in the house, your freecycle finds AND your DS's hard work and talent

AnW's mum - I see your boss hasn't murdered you, which is lucky as the SWs clearly need you but you still haven't confessed as to WHY he was planning it...

It's raining again. Must go and check up on my mum (she's downstairs, probably doing the dusting or something!) and then probably have an early night as we're going back to London tomorrow to see the Messiah.

Oh yes - the skip was gone when I go back, so hopefully I'll speak to the landscaper on Monday about exactly what is going on...
