I bought an Australian version of this from eBay once. It worked brilliantly but I have to admit to some serious panicking betweens steps as my hair was all shades and went like straw. After the last part of the treatment went on though, it was fine and went back to being soft thankfully.
I did wonder if it was a good idea to post the link as never tried it myself but it sounds good. :)Last time i had hair like straw was when i decided to go blonde , next day i just put another colour on top it was yrs ago didnt know what a chance i was taking.:eek:I guess anything could have happened (remember my mum keep going on its going orange, its going orange) etc etc :rotfl:
  • I'm allergic to every hair dye except the wash-in wash-out type and that has trouble sticking to my greys so I leave it on for an hour and a half, though as it doesn't last very long I only do it for special occasions, maybe 2 or 3 times a year. I haven't been to a hairdresser's for the last 12 years, can't seem to justify spending such a lot of cash on hair. I also cut my hubby's and kids' hair, must have saved a fortune by now :D

I use those 10 minute dyes and they work a treat just did it yesterday actually as there was an offer on one of them at Asda £4.00.
I have paid a small fortune before at the salon and they dont last any longer than the home dyes.
Actually apart from the cost, I think I am the only woman I know who hates going to the hairdressers! I would rather stick hot needles in my eyes - I hate everything about it and it seems to take an age to do anything - Im sure they drag it out to justify the huge cost.
Also, I have yet to find a hairdresser that I am happy with, none of them seem to do what I ask for so I go to a different one each time. I go about once every 3-4 months as I hate it so much.

Actually the only thing with home colouring is that I have to factor in the cost of a new bath mat and a new shower curtain a few more times a year, as no matter how careful I am I was born clumsy!

I go to the hairdresser and have a cut and a colour every 5-6 weeks. I would not count it as "essential" but it woudl be one of the last "non essentials" to go.

I have loads of really thick hair - and it grows like weeds. I keep it short, but if I go 6 weeks without a cut I am in Yeti territory.

I started going grey in my early 20's and made do with home colour kits for a few years, but eventually they got the better of me and I now have to have the little sods done properly. I have a semi permanent colour which is pretty close to my natural colour - so it does not show when my hair grows. My hair is very dark so the grey really shows up.

I pay about £50 every 6 weeks, but I have found someone who can really handle my hair - so I will just have to swallow the cost!!!

I used to home colour, but now i have a good mobile hairdresser, who is reasonable. Trouble is, she tells me what I want.

I still think of myself as dark-haired, although once the colour fades I am mouse!

this is me :-), I ended up buying black towels, covering the loo seat and the floor around the sink area... I am really clumsy

The only other problem I have is that apparently - according to the hairdresser- my hair is brown at the roots and black at the bottom :-(

I do do the roots first and the rest after, not sure what else I can do, but know I can't afford to get it done at the hairdressers every 6 weeks....
