Silvercar – we can’t sell the land on its own – there is a restriction in the documents that we are buying the property and land as a block and we should sell it as such in the future
BobProperty – To clarify, there is one tank, at the end of our “our” land, which is for the sole benefit of another barn in the court (ie, the tank is not shared with us). I believe the right of way granted by the seller to the owners of the neighbouring property was merely verbal.
Debt_free_chick - Our solicitor would like a deed of easement to be included in the deeds to ensure we don’t put off any future buyers – she (and therefore we) would not be happy with anything less. I believe this has to be set up by the seller, and has to go into the deeds for the neighbouring property too – and could have further implications if they have a mortgage.
David29dpo – your post stands out to me – and given that we saw another property we could well be interested in at the weekend, I’m tempted to give up on this dreaded barn conversion, and s*d the money we've already wasted on it!!0 -
