Hi dawnlylou,
You should get lots of help with this from the experts who post on the Storecupboard challenge so I'll add your thread to that.

Hi vinakanailavo,
It looks as though you have plenty in to keep you going for a while. We have a store cupboard challenge where other users are trying to use food they have rather than buying more so I'll add your thread to it.
Good luck.:)

thanks pink winged..sorry still trying to get the hang of where things should go around here! so thanks for guiding me in the right direction...
from reading through this thread..i think that i should get into baking!!
its tough because dh and i have just bought a house together...and we are pretty much starting from scratch...all i have is one baking tray! and that is very multi purpose! used for anything and everything...
maybe i'll use my £20 budget and buy some baking goods, maybe try and bake bread...dh has such a sweet tooth i think i will have to start baking some nice sweet things!! off to look and see what i can buy to make lots of lovely things!! (out of my budget of course!)

Hi vinaka,
Don't worry, there is so much info on the Old Style board that it's hard to find your way around at first.
I'm up to my eyes at the minute making tea but I'll come back later and try to think of some ideas for your and dawnylou's store cupboard items.
In the meantime these threads might help:
Quality roasting and baking tins/trays?
What treats/goodies do you bake to save
Storecupboard Essentials
Also the good people who post on the Grocery Challenge will help you to eke out every last penny.

Eugghh! Hmm tried mixing the lot together and see what happens! ;D My kids would probably eat it as long as it had sugar in ::)
I would probably eat it if it had sugar in and I didn't have anything else in
that was sugary and brown.
That reminds me, I must have a go at making a cake in a mug again now I have some cocoa.0 -
If I post a list of the food I have to last until the week after next (insurance excess of £150:mad: has eaten up most of my food budget for the month), would someone be kind enough to help me work out how to stretch it to last the next 3 weeks ish please?
I have loads in and am able to spend £10ish on extra bits and pieces but that's about it. :j
After reading many threads I am sure that I can stretch what I have to feed 3 of us (2 grown ups and a lo) for 3 weeks. . . . it's just a case of something to make it into!0 -
I forgot to say, that £10 doesn't have to cover stuff like milk or bread or cleaning stuff. It literally would be to make up the ingredients for something if I were missing a couple of them.
Thanks in advance :beer:0 -

A list would be good to see what you've got in the cupboards and maybe the freezer too?0
