Store cupboard challenge

Well my inventory spread to 3 pages of A4! Lots of tinned beans, so I think there will have to be some slow cooker stews.
Threw away a few bits and pieces as neither myself nor my partner eat them. Goodness only knows how or when they came into the house.
Lunch with the in-laws today, but did start on the crackerbread mountain for breakfast.ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0 -
Have been advised to come and join in on this thread as the next couple of months are going to be very tight (and I have a load of stuff in my Store Cupboard)
The first meal planned:
Tin of Value Mince Beef and Onions
Mashed Potato
Frozen Vegetables
I am about to drag hubby away from the TV and get him to help me go through the cupboards and see what we have got.0 -
I have used up the last of the sprouts and some potatoes today for a big pan of bubble & squeak. Will have a portion of it tonight for tea with a couple of fried eggs on top (YUM) and have put the rest in the freezer.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Just used a tin of kidney beans, and a pack of quorn mince, some tinned tomatoes and made up a batch of chilli and a batch of spag bol for the freezer. Might keep some out for dinner tonight.
Now what can I make with half a tin of kidney beans, a huge bag of frozen spinach and several boxes of peppermint tea? Ummmm might need some other ingredients!ilovefreegle.org - give it away don't throw it away0 -

Me too please - got enough to feed the 5000 in my freezer and cupboards.
so that should last 2 weeks or so with my lot, lol
Having roast pork, gluten free stuffing, veg, yorkshire pudds (+ gluten free ones for DS), apple sauce and the works. had a 3 kg joint so half will still be left at least, perhaps more. all this for the cupboards fridge and freezer,
have cut off the skin and scored it for lots and lots of crackling, and cut off a little excessive fat to render down to make pastry more tasty.
I cant possible make an inventory yet - i'd be on with it til the end of the month lol.
good luck

No inventory from my cupboards-it would take too long-maybe I can attempt it next month! Made 2 lasagnes last night using
large pack of lasagne sheets
2 jars white sauce(I was crazy to buy that!)
1 jar lasagne sauce
2 tins toms
2 stock cubes
Half bag of soya mince
dried arlic
fresh garlic
2 onions
various herbs
Well thats some of the jars used up along with one of the packets of lasagne. DD made pizzas today so used up the fresh pepper I bought before Christmas and the remains of the flour and some of the yeast along with the scraps of cheese. All of the open packets are at the top of my freezer ready to use up-not allowed to open anything new unless I am truly in need of the item. Replacing empty spaces in freezer with reduced price loaves of bread-determined to clear it out by March.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
I think I'll join in as well, again. I got lazy in December and bought lots of Colmans packet sauces
I want a really good clear out of the freezer as well so I can defrost it. Too much stuff to list here so I'm just going to work on a "fall out" basis...we'll have whatever "falls out" of the cupboard etc :rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
