I received a phone call from Capital One in regards to my complaint about the £100 credit limit.

They stated that when I applied for the card, the summary box then had the minimum credit limit of £100. They changed the summary box just shortly after I applied to show the minimum credit limit £500. I still think this is untrue, I'm sure the only reason I applied was because of the minimum £500 limit...

I told her I was given more on my classic card and she said "I'm sorry, I cannot comment on previously held products blah blah our lending policies are private, even I don't know the policies so can't tell you why we've only given you £100."

She then started going on about how Capital One won't be able to lend any longer if their policies were revealed to the public.

    Tight fisted sods.

I'm at a loss to understand why you even care :-) You have 6 credit cards none of which are anywhere near their limit and debt which many on these boards would envy :rotfl:

I can't speak for Elky, and don't have anywhere near that amount of credit (Cheers Natwest ) but it's partly the principle of it IMO. If they summary box says £500 that's what it should be. They gave me the BS about it being £100 at the time. I'm pretty sure it wasn't, but I didn't take a printscreen so can't prove it.... In future I printscreen everything (got software running in the background which will save printscreens automatically with a timestamp) but I'll let Crap1 win this, it's doing it's main aim of getting me 0's, but I'm disgusted with their attitude, and TBH what I think is blatant lies to customers. If it wasn't, they would supply me with some kind of proof, rather than saying the same thing over and over again. If I don't get a rise in November (long way away I know!) I'm closing it and going for Vanquis (Diamond! :D)

I agree. I didn't take proof of it either so I don't have a leg to stand on but I do know for sure I wouldn't have applied if the minimum limit was £100.
