I wouldn't be surprised if representives from Sygma Bank are reading this with concern and perhaps tighten the critieria for people applying for their products in the near future.0

Probably, but there are some people who aren't being accepted too.
I think my Equifax looks pretty good now. The only negitive is just 1 satisfied deafult over 3 years ago. There's no CCJ's only 5 searches in the last 12 months and I haven't missed a payment on anything in years.0 -
Think it just shows sygma accepting any tom,!!!!!!,or harry that this card is just not in the same league as other prime cards..0

Let's hope not. Sygma could actually be the bridge for the gap between subprime and main stream.
There will be no more talk about being subprime, but rather we'll all be Sygmaprime. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I disagree, there are people here who got declined with Sgyma. It is mostly accepted to those who have an improving credit history....ie no missed payments/adverse data in the past 2-3 years. I don't recall anyone who has a CCJ/bankrupty being accepted?
A lot of lenders as Niddy says check back 3 years and if all is good then accepted. I think thats the pattern we are seeing here.0 -
what made me LAUGH bout SYGMA is i recieved my first statement for my SILVER CARD the same day as a REJECTION letter for their FLYBE CARD telling me to try VANQUIS

LOL. Thats a good one....Sygmaprime:D
There is no such thing as the bridge for the gap between subprime and mainstream...it is either black (subprime)or white(prime).
Some lenders search back 3 years, some more. There is no way knowing how the system works and luck does play its part for some people.
There are few here who got old defaults being accepted for mainstream bank credit card.0
