Thats a valid point mate but there are other reasons. Plenty of people change bank accounts with excellent credit histories although i suspect that might be in the minority.

Nah, my cifas went at the end of March so that helps me now - I declined their offer, told them i'd rather not bother with such a silly APR and they said once card arrives, to send it back using cancellation form attached.

That's what i'll be doing! My worst card is HSBC at 11.9% so not taking out this when it is 8% dearer almost! :eek: :eek:

agree but if you look after your bank account and your wages are going in every week or month,then they will upgrade you from your high school cash card!!

So NID you applied for silver card just now? Maybe try for Flybe LOL. I got a £1k limit for the same apr as you...19.9%.

Apparently the silver card mastercard has a maximum of £5K credit limit - whereas Flybe CC is £20K. Can't believe you not going to keep it. Just pay in full mate, 19.9% isn't bad; certainly in the economic climate!
