Have you changed your overdraft limit more than one within the last 6 months?

HSBC charge a £25.00 arrangment fee should you make more than one overdraft change request in a 6 month period.

This has been in place for a long time and I found out when I requested a tempory overdraft increase for one month and was told to make a request for a permanent increase due to the fact I would be charged an arrangment fee as I had made a request 3 months earlier.

I've got the bug today. Am looking at that Apply button on Halifax Reward account. I applied 7 weeks ago but was declined. I haven't had a search in 5 weeks now. Hmmmm....

7 weeks isn't enough mate - you need at least 3 months but ideally 6, between applications (unsuccessful ones)!

Just a quick question, my DD for Vanquis is due out on the 28th (my payment due date) and will go out no problem as funds are in there. However in the 26th I called and paid the amound spent on my last statement (£189) - she said this will not hit my account until the 1st Dec - wil they report back to CRA that I paid in full or just the minimum? Also will I pay interest next month?

Did you use the Halifax Visa Electron or a Barclays debit card (if you have one)? If you used your Halifax card and your account was debited yesterday, then the Payment Received date would also be yesterday, as it takes 2 working days (including the day you paid) for it to reach your account.

Sorry to confuse you. With the Faster Payment Service you can make a bank transfer the same day (normally they say within 2 hours but its actually immediate). I use my Halifax Easycash account to pay Vanquis the same day. Even though funds are available a few days after, on my statements the payment received date is the same day as my transfer.

what she said was, payment has been accepted, and funds will show on my account on the 1st December. Then she said that if the direct debit wasn't set up then it would have been a late payment....

But I did pay using a Barclays debit card?
