Well I am 6'4'' and 23 stone so I think I should lose some weight. One of the tablets I am on makes me put on weight unfortunately. I have also gone dairy free as it has been calling me problems so no chocolate or crisps or cheese should help!

  • Hi guys
Just spent the last few days reading this part of the subprime threads!
Just looking for a wee bit of advice. I am coming to face facts that even though I have managed to get a mortgage from Nationwide in the last few months I just won't get a mainstream card.

My experian is defunct now because it has too many searches. I now have decided that I will have to use either Barclays or Sygma card. The issue is I am a Stay at home mum. The household income is 20,544.

I am on the electoral role, but have just only got on as we moved in here the end of November. I have no defaults, CCJs or major arrears. I have one missed payment in the last 4 years and that was only 1 month. I did however go over my capital one limit when I first got the card and I had set up a direct debit for the minimum when I activated. However it never went out so I got charged as well as my interest and it went over limit. Yes my fault I should have kept an eye out! Anyway that was just under a year ago. Now should I go for Barclays Initial or one of the Sygmas and if so which one?

Thank you for any advice in advance!

P.S Nearly got an MBNA card in November, but the lady that went over my application on the phone got snippy when seeing I'd gone over my limit on my Cap One. She had been happy otherwise!
