then wireless settings, pick channels 1, 6 or 11 after finding out what else is out there.
Moving the router slightly or adjusting the aerial position and angle may help your problem.

Yeh, was in a house yesterday where all 4 houses round them were using bt routers. Signal kept dropping. changed the channel from the default 6 to 11 and sailed after that. Astonishing difference it's makes.0 -

For range issues, you could try locking the router to a particular wireless channel, just in case you're getting interference from a neighbour's operating on the same channel. You need to log into the router config pages to do this. Pick a higher channel no. (e.g. mine's on ch 10, away from other local routers).

We have a Netgear DG834G but the signal is very low elsewhere in the house unless you are in the study where it is postioned. I saw a DG834PN Wireless Router today - reviews look good on Amazon but my question is are they all compatible with AOL does anyone know please? Could be OH's Christmas present :rotfl:!0
