Best wireless router

i was just wondering what the best wireless router is, i have a netgear at the moment the one which begins with a D think its a old one not a modern one well my daughter cant go very far with her laptop only in the lounge where the router is, when she goes into her bedroom all the connection goes, i was thinking of getting the BT wireless router are these any good ?

Ingoring other factors such as interference, both the quality of the router and the quality of the wireless card in the laptop will affect the range. If you can't work out which it is, you might find a 'repeater' may work instead, which extends the range.
Also, I have a BT Home Hub and find the range on it quite poor, so I wouldn't recommend them.0 -

An N-type router is best, but to take full advantage you'll need an N rated card in your computer too rather than the old G type.0

Try improving the aerial.....does make a difference
if you go to broadbandbuyer co uk and search for item ANT009 for less than £10
This is a cheap aerial that I used to improve access in my house and it worked.0
