(hehe!) How do we manage to do daft things!!! We're so focused on some things that the 'normal' things slip up by! I went shopping on Saturday, came home to find i'd left the downstairs AND upstairs big windows open!! Where I live too! (doofus).

Not great weather for poor kite festival, hoping to make the scarecrow festival though!

hi phillipa and urban - yes buxton is lovely- i live about 8 miles out, in a teeny town. its beutiful, but very limited in things to do. also without a car, it can be difficult to get around.

but if you can get to buxton, theres a spring, so you can get free buxton water- still warm! its lovely!

    piccy!

kathrynpenquin is there any mother and toddler groups around thats a good place to get to know other women. Plus it gives your toddler others to run around with.

    Messy

Trouble is I work full time so I never had the chance to meet other mums, the local play place does a single parents night but that doesn't start till 7pm and my little un likes his sleep - if he's not tucked up by 7.30 he is a grumpy sausage! I took him to school today, we sat there with Dad sat behind us looking miserable (don't know why he came) lots of the mums in his new class seemed to know each other but I'd never seen any of them before. Working Mums do seem to be forgotton - we miss out on the Mummy Mafia completely.

Oh dear me too. Was telling Mum off today for passing on a £130 Radley in John Lewis, told her if she thought that was expensive she should have turned around 180 degrees and looked at the georgous (sp) pink Mulberry on the back wall. She sais I have a serious problem if I know the stock that well!:j

Lots of people in Kent, not too far from me i suppose heres my bio:

    name Lynsey
    age 31 :(
    single AGAIN
    no children
live in Grays in Essex (far too close to Lakeside shopping)
interests: moneysaving, cinema, pubs, generally anything that takes my mind off me being skint and single.

Would love to make some new friends, young or old, just someone to make me smile now and again x

There is no such think as too close to Lakeside! I very nearly applied for a job in Kent - just because it was close to Bluewater (hmm do I have a problem here.....)

Just back from caressing handbags in John Lewis myself , really want a new tan radley purse but keep bidding on them on ebay trying to save a few beans like the good money saver that I am.

I have created a myspace for us all https://www.myspace.com/msefriends

Afraid it's not fancy yet - have just posted all out details into the blog section.

Blind date is cancelled for tonight - apparently he has to cover some work meetings as someone in his office had too much to drink yesterday and took a sickie. Supposed to be meeting later in the week but tbh I'm not really bothered.

Have spent the afternoon shopping with my Mum and have bought quite a few of my Christmas presents in the sale :T
