Ordered the rock band game and drums from Amazon for the kids for Christmas. Drums turn up today delivered by courier, Amazon had literally just stuck an address label on the outside of the drum package - no surprise for the kids now!

Boohoo? You're package has arrived by a courier, safe and sound, what more could you ask for? Kind of hard to hide a drum kit from them isn't it! Think for a moment, dear!0

Um - no - every other package I have bought has been in an outer wrapper dear.xxx Nikki xxx0

Would have been a waste of packaging to put it inside another box when they one it already comes in is adequate enough.
I generally expect it when I'm ordering a large item that it will just come in its normal packaging. Only on a few occasions have I had them but it in another box as well.0 -
To be honest the box that it comes in (as in if you buy it off the shelf) isn't strong enough to be used as a delivery box. It's battered and sellotaped in several places (loads of sellotape).
I appreciate that it would be a fair bit of packaging to re-wrap it but last week Amazon sent me a single DVD in a box big enough to pack a PS3 console in!! Not really sure of their logic when it comes to packaging!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
How come the kids saw it? Were they not at school when it came?0

I was mortified when my 6 second abs trainer came with just an address label, surely they could have put brown paper or a plastic covering0

I always expect things to come packaged. If the item I'm giving is a gift, I don't want the actual box to be battered or water marked. Couriers aren't the best at keeping packages nice and presentable. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
At the very least the item should be wrapped in plastic. Preferably in a cardboard box to prevent damage if the item is a gift.

Sending by courier is supposed to avoid damage in transit, I would have thought?
(In theory at least)Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
