The thing that bugs me with people like that is that it'd take 30 seconds to check and over five minutes to argue the toss with you over nothing.

I'm lucky in that I very rarely get into arguments with customers, I've worked for three mobile networks for in total six years so I know whatever I say to someone is right...and if I wasn't sure I'd make sure I checked it first before advising.

You know what would've been funny - If you told him to get his iPhone out and showed him how to send a MMS!

You know what, as he was insisting this I almost did get my iPhone out to show him! :-) That most certainly would have shut him up.

I'm pleased to say that this incident hasn't put me off trying Orange - But I'll either get the SIM online or over the phone.

Wonder if telesales I could any little extras ? :-)
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

    This gets better!

Called Sales today as I wanted to see if they could give me that 'special deal' that isn't on the website.

    I explained I wanted Pay Monthly/SIM only.

I spoke to a lady, she offered xmins with xtext.. then I added I needed internet as I have the iPhone.

She preceded to offer internet for £7.50.. gulp I thought! huh? I explained that I thought I saw it online for around £4.89? Um she said! She went away for a few minutes and said, yes I was right... it's £4.89!

I thought to myself, I don't think I'll deal with humans anymore.. :-)

No sure if I should go to Orange now! Need convincing .. lol
If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)

Technically, you can only have the £4.89 for 500MB bundle if you take it when you start a contract or upgrade, and then you're supposed to have it for the length of the contract.

The £7.50 one is the same package, but can be taken anytime, and cancelled anytime.

But it was a new contract. She then said sorry £7.50 is for PAYG.

Still not decided whether Orange is right for me, certainly pricing is but twice now I've been given wrong info.

Pay and go is £5 a week according to this http://www2.orange.co.uk/servlet/Satellite?pagename=OUKPersonal&c=OUKService&t=Service&cid=1096023564495&tab=2

The cost for monthly is £5 a month if you take it out at start of month - if you choose to have internet added mid contract for a month or more, its £7.50 - same as o2.

So even when she thought she was right, she wasn't! :-)

Anyway, thanks for the info! :-)
