Been on BE for over 2 years, speed is superb, service is excellent (you can actually talk to real techies on there forum!) and it truly is unlimited (60gb downloaded just this weekend)

£20 a month is just to cheap for service of this quality :A

BE and O2 are running on the same network, O2 owns BE (I think) however BE is its own company with vastly superior support to O2 imo.

I thought id check it out seeing as im looking to swap over, cant get it though.

my exchange must need some work doing to it.
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.
  • They were very insistent that they have my Date of Birth when I talked to them on the phone. I was not going to give it to them because it is ***clear security breach***.

No other ISP I have ever been with has wanted my DOB.

My view is AVOID. It's not worth running the risk of a disgruntled employee stealing information and selling it to identity fraudsters, for example.

Not if you give them the wrong DOB it isn't. They're just ticking boxes, profiling the age range of their customers etc.

I can vouch for them too, very good company.

I managed to get the half price for a year deal as i had been with them longer than a year (so was out of contract) and moved house, worth giving them a ring.

They put it down to £10 per month for me just because i said i might move to 02, which baffled me as they are the same company!!

    Definitely do it

Hmmm. They are asking your DOB as a security question if you ever call without your account number. What else would they do with it are you scared they are gonna steal your identity or something??? If you are, then I think DD details are far worse than your DOB. If anyone wants to know my DOB it's 11/10/87. I expect presents now guys! It is insane you would avoid a company because they asked your DOB... how do you expect to set up a bank account or get credit?

And what if it's a gruntled employee? I'm assuming gruntled is a word :D

Data is stolen and abused all the time and it's virtually useless to most people. You'd need an army of admin people to pick through the most basic of data. Problem is people don't look after their own business and are stupid.

Just look after your own end.
