Have had another think about it overnight, and decided for definatle Im NOT going to apply for it.
I just cant risk being in probabtionary period while im this ill, and if they offered it to me I know i would take it. Although Molanole, Im not registered as disabled? I dont think I could be, could I? IN repsect of the DDA?
I dont know a great deal about it, anyone got any links?
this could be the tipping point. I do want the job ,but there is a massive risk of being off sick and I just worry that I wouldnt get paid while im off in Probabtionary period and Ill lose everything as OH is on such a small wage at the mo he can barely keep afloat as it is.

Perhaps one aspect of the key to health and wealth is to stop smoking as a partnership. It is just another form of stress management that is now more expensive than alcoholism. Try your GP for NHS assistance or support groups in your area.

Well I do understand that but my partner is unable to consider giving up again after a very traumatic experience with Zyban last year.
Of course we are aware of the impact of smoking, but it is an addiction, and I for one am ready to crack it, but OHs not ready yet.
DONT NAG ME !!!!!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi Lynz
I'm not clued up on your illness I'm afraid but I'm pretty sure that the act extends further than covering those people who are registered disabled and should be seen more as a duty of care to all employees. I seem to recall that it's becoming frowned upon for employers to ask about sickness records which must be somehow related to the provisions of the act. Even if they do ask and you are able to give a valid response (which you will be able to) it shouldn't jeopardise your chances of getting the job. Provided you meet all of the person spec they have to consider you like anyone else.
Either way, it's your choice and it dependent on what is right for you. I still think you have nothing to lose by applying and even if you don't get it it's excellent practice for when you do feel confident enough to move on. It's so easy if you've been in a role for a while to get out of interview mode and trials runs are always a good idea.
Let us know how you get on. Good luck in the decision making!Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

I think if you enjoy your job then it definately makes debt repayment a lot easier
Having said that you may be able to negotiate the salary, ring them up, tell them what a superstar you will be and say you are interested but would like slightly more and be honest with them the reason, its worked for me before0 -
