    Not at all. :)

If one pops up after the BR that you forgot about, you just tell your OR.

As said, happens all the time.

also, check what system your local court uses for bankruptcies. i made the appointment over the phone and took my forms and money in on that day. a few courts operate a drop in system. there is a few weeks wait for slots so might be wise to look into it now if you haven't already
  • I checked yesterday on my local court, literally Monday to Friday 09:30 - 12:30 drop in service.

I just need to get the paperwork done and I get paid next Friday, although need to transfer out everything so may need to be Monday week.
  • sorry for your problems. you probably dont feel good right now, but when its all over you will get a sence of relief. it is good somtimes to talk about your problems out loud rather than in your head. they seem different and somtimes you get support from places you werent expecting. you have to do what is right for your family.it does not mather what people think , if they were in your place maybe they would go bankcrupt . nobody has the right to judge anyone until they have walk a day in theie shoes. i hope everything goes well for you and your family.:p

that's good news then, it can be moved along pretty quickly.
good luck with the forms, post any questions
  • The unfortunate thing is that we cannot afford for my wife to go BR too, so she will have to wait for the new year!
I feel bad about it, but i have the biggest debt IR and it needs sorting right now.

I suppose the only upside is that she keeps her active bank account for a while.
  • sending you a hug korben, it is hard, but you have done the right thing.

We go to court soon and in some ways I can't wait for it to all over.

Not long got back from the Dr`s She was very nice listened to all I had to say, ended up doubling the dose of anti depressents that I am on. Was quite positive in her attitue, new start, thousands in the same position, not the same stigma attached to BR as once was before. All in all came out feeling better, just got to finish these flaming forms now :D

Hi Korben, know just how you feel i was in a terrible state before the day, i couldnt concentrate on anything and if the kids asked for something that cost any money i fell apart. But the reality is so different, what others say on here is so true once you've been you just dont understand what worried you so much.

Obviously there are difficulties but they are nothing compared to the hell of being in debt and not knowing how to get out of it, once you have made the decision every day gets a little easier. The worst part was telling friends and family but although they dont understand how it could have happened they have all been great.

Good luck with it all, thinking of you
