  • I don't understand the problems everyone's having. We went onto the Ticketmaster website this morning, no problems, got the 8 tickets we wanted for the night we wanted. What's gone wrong? Is it just the amount of people trying to use the website?

That and ticketmaster doesn't really give you much customisation.

I was on from 8, had no luck. They slowly opened up more dates, i got on at just the right time for the second saturday date, but i'd left it as 'best available'. Still only got block 122, whereas i'd have much preferred the floor.

Went back on a bit later and could have had row K tickets for a different night, but wasn't prepared to take the risk that I'd be stuck with the old tickets, even at face value. Wish I had now, but never mind. What I really wanted was tickets for the first friday as I'll be down in Derbyshire that weekend anyway but not to worry.

Can't remember if I selected email tickets, can't find any confirmation either :/
  • Or what about the resturant at the urbis? i think its called Modern. It does an early bird menu from 5-7pm which is perfect timing to get there before the gig. It does really nice food and there is a great view of manchester. Its only 3 minutes walk to the men, but i think you need to book if its a saturday night.

Wish i had got the tickets :( boooo

    Depends what your delicacy is.

Bella italia is an ok italian chain
the yang sing/little yang sing is a very good chinese in China town.
East z East is a good indian but pricey.

China town has stacks of places and about 20 minute walk from MEN or you could catch the tram to Shudhill/victoria bus station and walk the last little bit.

Thats everywhere I checked out while I was there on business. I need to sort a hotel and baby sitter as me and the wife are travelling up from wiltshire to see him.

If you selected email tickets go into 'my ticketmaster' and it gives the option to view and print tickets. I didn't get a confirmation email either.

This is so frustrating, been a PK fan for years, went to the last shows, all the vids and books, started at 0800 from the email link. This is not PK's fault but Ticketmaster are pants. Even if I am fortunate enough to get tkts, it is far from user friendly. As has been suggested, most of us, would go to a 0300 am showing on a wet Wednesday, so for heavens sake why dont they have the facility to search for any ticket, on any date, at any price, anywhere in the arena, Come on Ticketmaster, its not rocket science... Rant over...back to the laptop... (sigh)
I know exactly what you mean, we have managed to get 5 tickets eventually, and thankfully the same night, but we're completely split up..............yet I bet those that have 10 tickets on Fleabay have got 2 lots of 5 in a row at least!!!

Got through at 8.00am asked for 8 for the friday nothing, another window open asked for 1 for the Tuesday NOTHING! Joke!

Spoke to my pal at Ticketmaster he said there were 100 tickets on presale for each day and most of them had gone before hand on a special link given to family & friends!

Rang him at 11am and got offered 8 fourth row on the Saturday 15th before he hit go they had gone within a minute the saturday was offering upper tier only!

He managed to get 8 for the Tuesday on the floor then 8 on the friday Block 102.

He said even Ticketmaster didn't realise he would be that popular. I wouldn't worry too much as the rumour is he will be adding many other dates at different venues.

i wouldn't be so sure, the name of the tour is 'the tour that isn't a tour -tour' meaning surely that he will only be at the MEN? they may release more dates for the same venue though.

i was lucky - went on website at 7.47am and kept refreshing until they were for sale, got 4 tickets on the floor straightaway for the second night (28th April). must just have been pure luck that i managed to get through so easily, had paid and recieved email by 8.05am.
