Squizz - how are you feeling this afternoon? Still lots of green stuff oozing out?!?! Get well soon hun!
On another matter, and relating to your avatar: we're having a family pre-Christmas Christmas on 13th Dec and I am doing table presents - in fact they're going to be homemade crackers...remind you of anything? I am saving the toilet rolls as we speak!!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

Less green stuff, more achy lungsand a barking cough.
Hehe - brilliant - will you shout 'bang'?! :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Oh dear, might you have pluresy (sp?). I had that a few years ago and my chest just ached every time I coughed, but in order to get better I just had to keep coughing - vicious circle! Well I hope you get better soon.
And as for the 'bangs' I'm sure I shall be tempted to shout 'crack' instead!
Talking of the Good Life made me think about asking for it on DVD for Christmas from MIL, thinking it would be cheap....

I watched that episode of "the good life" last week......:D
I've sat and wrapped table pressies for Christmas day....just silly little toys I've picked up throughout the year.....made them all fancy I did with gold crepe paper and red and gold ribbons.....good job there was only 6 cos I got bored.
I've lit a fire, pulled the curtains and would like to hibernate...I don't think it actually got light here today."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
oooh, crepe paper - not used that for a while! That could be good for the crackers actually - I was genuinely considering the sunday times colour supplement, but I think DH will really think I've got totally cheapskate! We're off to The Range tomorrow - I expect they'll have some won't they? I'll have 11 to do, but one evening in front of the tv should sort that out!
Enjoy snuggling in front of the fire - we have some late afternoon sun at the moment, but it's been pretty miserable thus far!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

Blimey  Might be cheaper to buy a series at a time? I think I've got some on my DVD rental list..

Even each series was between £18 and £25!! Maybe I'll find out when the Xmas episode is on (as it's bound to be over Christmas) and set my BT Vision box to record it! Then when I want a 'GL' fix I can just watch that one over again! But you enjoy them when they arrive through your door!
I didn't realise until reading that 'giving up sky' thread that you're sans television, but I suppose with i-player, dvd renting and of course beloved MSE and facebook, it wouldn't be too hard at all - well done! (not sounding too patronising I hope!!!)Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

Well I'm actually without internet at home just now too. But since I spend 4-5 nights a week at Mr Squizz's then for the couple of nights at home I'm happy to do other stuff. So not entirely without TV as do watch it at his, but not that much as there's a load of rubbish on at the mo anyway! It does still feel a little bit weird at mine, not to put it on just for background noise, but sure I'll soon get used to it.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I know what you mean about 'background noise', but I suppose with a radio or CD player, that's solvable and it's quite good that it's Mr Squizz paying the licence whilst you are also enjoying the tv, bit of a bonus there!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts

I suppose I could offer to pay half... but I did that last night with food (he buys most of it) and he told me to shut up and not be silly so...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
