My parcel just arrived from the book people - huge big red christmas box with "the book people" all over it...yeah, that's easy to hide from prying eyes!!! Have had to flatpack the box and get rid and hide the contents somewhere else.......I swear my kids have xray eyes."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Snaggs, my income comes either 2 or 4 weekly, so I do a different budget every four weeks, it's a bit of a pain but it's a lot more accurate than doing it monthly. I know everyone on here says to work out what the yearly amount is spread over 12 months, but that means that most months your budget's got more money coming in than there really is. I find just doing it as if the 4 weekly one is monthly doesn't work either, because bill dates change around in relation to it and again it gets confusing. Haven't a clue about spreadsheets though, I use paper and pen!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Cheers Ames. Roughly half of mine is monthly and half 4 weekly....just to make it EVER so simple! :rotfl:
The budgetting itself isn't really a problem, I usually just add stuff up at the start of the month, but I'm a little bit lazy so just thought it would be nice to automate it a bit.
Have downloaded Open Office (I didn't have it - had some other rubbish office package) so will have a play with that."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Well quiet day for me here at work. I've left DH at home creating a shopping list for the supermarket tomorrow and then entering it onto mysupermarket.com so we know where the deals are to be had this weekend!
Sorry to hear of various ailments doing the rounds...so far I've stayed clear this autumn, so fingers crossed - nothing worse than being ill at the weekend, when you're not at work!!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My DebtsDFW Long Hauler #109

We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
