  • Yes, avoid AQUOTE at all costs. I just changed scooter and apart from not having the new scooter on their system (these Burgman 400's are rare right?) they are wanting an EXTRA £90 from me to cancel a policy which is already fully paid (about £230pa) and which only has 5 weeks left to run!! Goodbye Aquote, we'll never meet again.
  • 7 years a ustomer, sold my bike and had to pay more than the period on cover and a non negotiable £65 cancellation fee (half a year's premium). when I tried to communicate by email, no response to any of the addresses used. then got a letter threatening a debt collection agency (doubling the cost), then long wait on their premium rate phonelines eventually allowed me to pay by card without any kind of reduction in view of the period I'd been a customer, with no claims. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they aren't honourable at all. seething.
Best insurance company I've ever used are 'RH Specialist'- use them for anything the're willing to cover- you won't regret it!
Aquote are a bunch of w****rs- I say without reservation!

  • Avoid this company, they draw you in with a cheap quote and then get you with sneaky charges!!! Should have stayed with my original insurer!!!!

Just to wake up an old thread with a similar story.....I called to cancel my bike insurance today because I have just sold my bike. I paid upfront for the year and with only one month left to run didn't expect to get anything back (in hindsight I should have just let it run out). I was shocked when they told me it would cost £75 to cancel. Can this be right? I only had the basic insurance which cost £90 and they are asking for almost this again for me to cancel. Complete !!!!!!. Avoid AQuote at all costs!! The customer service at this company is a joke too!
