Only ever had it in rolls - but I'd imagine it would be nice in a jacket spud too. Sometimes you can get a cheese savoury roll with crispy bacon on top

Off to take the eyes out of my tatties and make cheese savoury, its lush from Greggs, so looks like the Mayo has won. Used to love the cheese savoury salad whoppa's from my local Greggs, but they started being really tight with the filling so gave them up. Also Greggs has a bit of a reputation, through no fault of their own. They seem to have ended up with the title of being finest baby/toddler- dinner producer in the North East, Sausage rolls-pastry covering prams all over Tyne and Wear.

After reading this post yesterday, I made this for OH's and my sandwiches today.
Halloweenqueen, I'm not sure if I did it quite right and I haven't actually eaten it yet (since it's not lunchtime yet!) but it looks yummy.
I mixed grated cheese, chopped onion and salad cream for OH's and grated cheese, chopped cucumber and salad cream for mine.0 -
I had cheese savoury on my spuds last night, used two grated carrots and onion and put about half the amount of cheese to carrot- if that makes sense. It sounds stingy but its that super strong cheddar so a little goes a long way, plus, trying to eat healthy. Went to get mayo , and guess what I had none, typical, luckily I had some dregs of salad cream, mixed it up and ground tons and tons of black pepper into it, hmm, twas well nice. Its nice in sarnies, on tatties, if its loose enough, mixed with pasta, or even just a dollop on the side of your plate with a pile of salad.
Spread the word, time for a cheese savoury revolution.
As for the poor fella not being able to feed the pigeons, that stinks. There's a fella out my back lane who has a big cree in his yard, its funny when he tries to get them back in after they've had a fly, he's sometimes on over an hour going " come on-(shakey shakey tin of seed!) They're lovely. Know some people think they're rats with wings, but I like all animals!!RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. I know i'll see you again my best friend forever.

nic82 its not a bad hobby, he could have a liking for collecting Startrek dvds or spotting trains or such like, I think its a perfectly healthy pastime for a young chap to take up- more so if he's got prize winning birds that can rake in the 1st prize!!RIP Floyd - 19/04/09. That's very true singlehouseholder. I have to say he's not too bad at it and at least it keeps him in the back garden where I can see him (only joking!!). In fact, he's outside right now looking into the sky waiting for his first one home!0 -
