Good morning all ,
Have woken up feeling most bright and breezy! Have no idea why - DH thinks his luck's in bless him!
Mummysaver - sorry to hear about your relationship ((((hugs))))
MSD - still sending good vibes to you and Tris. Thanks for the scone recipe looks v tasty!
jc2703 - good luck for the weekend I know all about SD's being hard work at times, no matter how much you love them
Hester - sorry you are having such a tough time at work (((hugs)))
Managed to source the aftershave that DH was after for Christmas! Most chuffed with the bargain I got too - found a 50ml bottle with 100ml shower gel for £31.32 but then found a 100ml bottle of the aftershave for £44 but then got a 15% discount so it was £37!!! Yay me  Also checking on Quidco to see if the presents I want to order online can be done through there.
Must be the fact that it's nearly Christmas why I'm feeling so springy - they were playing Christmas songs on the radio on my way home last night :j
Lunch for DH and I today is grated onion and carrot mixed with mayonnaise in wraps. Tea tonight is bacon hotpot from a recipe on the meal planning thread - can't remember who though (sorry!) but thanks it's delish and a fave in our house nowadays :T
Have a lovely day all, hugs all round xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,
What you've been out there searching for forever is in your hands0 -
Going to be very daring , wrap up warm and venture out of the house on my own for the first time in a fortnight.
It is the library and is right across the road so should not be too taxing - lol.
if DH will run me a mile down the road later to get the meat I will offer to cook a casserole in the slow cooker.
After this hectic round of activity I may need to go and lie down;)
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Morning all!
Thank you everyone for your good wishes and thinking of me! Feel like poo at the mo, it never rains but it pours! Miserable about oh, but I know that I shall survive, I am just concentrating on his bad points at the moment and trying to see the positive side, stuggling, but still trying! Scan went okay, not a great result but probably the best one and have been given tablets and have to go back next week, but should all be okay. Spent most of last night suffering with this damned bug and being violently sick, kids tucked me up when they arrived back from school and spent the evening looking after me - well they tried anyway, an 8 year old's idea of looking after involved trying to hug me a lot, which wasn't a good idea, offering to paint my nails, saying I could paint hers, trying to feed me and making me cups of tea, bless her! The bigger ones were a bit more useful, housework and washing and washing up all done for me and they came and sat with me.
Anyway NF (thanks floss!) will be popping in this morning to cook me breakfast, he is concerned that I haven't eaten - think he thinks it's because of him! But it is a bit hard to eat when you keep being sick! We are then picking up my best friend from the station as she's coming to babysit me tonight, and then taking NF to the hospital for a scan - wonder if we could have a season ticket! Will wait for him and see how he gets on, he has a lump where you shouldn't have a lump. Another thing to add to my list of woes at the moment!
Right enough moaning and groaning and feeling sorry for myself, I am going to make a cuppa and hope it stays down, first thing I've actually wanted so must be a good sign. I'm very wobbly due to lack of food, so will be taking things easy today, NF can drive me around as I'm not sure I'd be very safe, and collect the kids for me if necessary I think, me and my BF will be catching up and putting the world to rights!
OS stuff will be very limited today, kids did most stuff last night, I did notice a huge pile of washing in their bathroom, so will have to start making inroads into that tomorrow. Will cook dinner later and that will prob be it for today.
Many hugs to all those who need them, and Celyn I hope that you haven't now got a stalker?! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -

Did loads of ironing yesterday but washing again now so it is building up again

Mr S was late with food shop yesterday so got £10 off next weeks.
Mummysaver hope you are ok and scan went well.
Nic we used to have half a days Xmas shopping built into our NHS contracts but once we went Trust they got rid of any perks and just left us with the s**t.
Hester you have my sympathy. Morale on my ward is low at the moment with most people applying for other jobs to get away and moaning all the time. I go in 2 days, do my clinics and go home again...I dont get involved.
Molly glad you are feeling brighter.0 -

Good morning.
No Mouse news this morning. Yes MSD I read on here somewhere that you could tell if they'd been in if you sprinkled flour. In the evening there were prints and in the morning trap had gone off. This morning nothing. Taped the back door up to see if they were getting in anywhere else, will leave for tonight and see what happens.
I have to go into work later. Leisurely start, finding it hard to get out of bed in the mornings at the moment, partly the condition, partly the medication I think, but feel otherwise OK which for this time of year is a good thing. I got someone else to give DS a lift to his concert last night, as I was tired. SOmetimes they go on really late, but he was home just after half nine. DH usually does some of these, but is working away at present.
Today a bit of flylady and also need to do some more work on Christmas cards.
Breakfast will be porridge, already had fruit.
Lunch will be left over cooked tomatoes etc and bit of goat's cheese.
Dinner is going to be jacket potatoes. WIll do one extra for ds to take to school for his lunch tomorrow.
Loaf going off so will make some sandwiches for the freezer. Need to be a bit organised as parents are coming for the weekend. DH will be home tomorrow afternoonI cope fine with the four days a way, but five seems so much longer somehow. Don't miss the snoring though! Quite like to spread out in bed too!

Morning everyone :hello:
Mummysaver, you poor thing. On the plus side, you do have lovely children. Mine would look after me for about 5 minutes and then wander off. I will even send you an non mushy hug, just keep it quiet :shhh:
Glad you are feeling better Molly.
Take it easy Elona. x
Hester.... You really do deserve a better job honey. xxx
How are your bits Sunny. Hope you're still hanging in there.;):p:D
PurpleIvy, we have mice atm... I use live traps to catch them but they seem to have worked them out so I bought new ones yesterday and have caught 2 this morning.:D Just need to release them somewhere far, far away.
It's wet, wet, wet here. Even the hens won't get out of bed. Neither will the dog and neither will OH.
We had planned a lovely walk today but I think that's off and I don't fancy the Farmer's market either in this weather.
May let the girls have a crafting day while I get on with making some Christmas decs.
Sausage and mash for tea. Lunch will be cauliflower, brocolli and stilton soup made entirely with the stalks and leaves of the cauli and brocolli. I can't believe I used to compost those.
Right, I'm off to get coffee.
Haribo x0 -

Morning all:hello:
Not wet here yet but very blustery.
Plans for today are;
bake bread- already rising will shape soon
clean bathroom and loo
partially make dd's bed- she can finish it.
get laundry dry
iron
Breakfast was bacon sandwiches for the kids. I had one rasher plus some toast.
Lunchboxes have ham sandwiches (OH has salad in his as well), raisin-oatmeal muffins or flapjacks, apples and clementines.
I shall have cauliflower, broccoli and gruyère soup. Nearly the same as Haribo except that I've spelt broccoli right:whistle::D I used up the stalks too.
Supper will be sausage, egg and chips. Chips done in the oven. Peas and sweetcorn too for fibre and vitamins.
I think I'll make some popcorn for the kids when they get home from school.
I've made a good start on my Christmas shopping this week. I've nearly finished the kids' stuff and OH's, so just my parents and a nephew and niece to do-mustn't forget that nephew has birthday on Christmas Eve so he needs two gifts. We have a fairly small number of people to buy for and I leave OH's parents and sisters to him.
I've made my cake and pudding. Must feed the cake today.0 -
